The on-campus experience
Take the lead to organize fun events for classmates: one student led an excursion for 40 people in the Scuba Club. Enjoying fun activities together gives you the chance to bond outside of the classroom.
Take classes that help you to fully explore an interest, even if they're really tough: "disregard the urge to only take 'easy' classes... take advantage of your last chance at academic learning (I was really happy that I did)!" says one student.
Interact with professors: one student engaged with his professor, learning how to defend and strengthen his business ideas. Another student was a TA in a class. Yet another did intensive marketing research with a professor to help out the small company he was joining. Remember, professors often have independent consulting and other business interests...you never know when something you do to help might lead to a job!
Seek out classes with role playing: one student mentioned that the leadership classes that he took part of, particularly role-playing scenarios, were helpful. If classes don't seem a good fit, consider Improv classes to improve your ability to think on your feet.
