Mind the gap (between graduation and work)
fallback,

We know you've put significant thought into what your post-MBA life will bring. But while you've been focusing on the next year, five years, even decade, how much thought have you put into the next few months?

Most likely, you'll be taking some time off between graduation and starting your first post-MBA job. You've probably gotten as far as figuring out when you have to move out of your current housing, and possibly thought through some travel plans... but what else should you consider in these upcoming months?

The 100 Week Sprint team
To-do's this week
Got 5 minutes? Reach out to two people you need to connect with before you graduate. There's no time like the present!
Got 30 minutes? Begin researching activities you'd like to do when you've got a little free time, whether it's taking an online course, joining a sports league, or just reading some fiction.
Got an hour? Start thinking through your post-graduation finances - set up a spreadsheet to analyze estimated expenses for the period between graduation and when you start work.
Five ways to keep your professional momentum

1. Keep networking: once you've settled into your first post-MBA job, it's far too easy to let the networking slide - but it's vital that you keep it up! Instead of finding a specific job, network with an eye on your long-term path; make an effort to meet the people whose careers you want, as well as the people who can help you take the steps to get there.

Six things to do for yourself

1. Reconnect with people: this is a great time to reach out to people you lost touch with during school, whether former colleagues, old friends, or even family members. And remember, this will actually help you keep that professional momentum going, too - the more people you tell about what your professional objectives are, the more people there are willing to help you out!
