Week 98: April 25, 2026

Three things to put in your calendar before you graduate
fallback,

"It's been almost a year since I graduated and I haven't had time to connect with most of my classmates!" - recent MBA graduate

We know that the remaining months of b-school will pass by quickly. Before you graduate, we wanted to give you some tools to continue to build the relationships you worked so hard to establish during your MBA. Put these things in your calendar now before your experience is over and keep in touch with your MBA network and career goals!

To-do's this week
Got 5 minutes? Set some of the calendar reminders mentioned in this list.
Got 30 minutes? Mark your calendar with your classmates' birthdays by finding them on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. You can also include any other special dates for them (ex. wedding day, start of a new role, etc.).
Got an hour? Reach out to your school and request the date for your one year reunion. If there isn't one planned, get together with your classmates and take the initiative to put one together!

Save the dates

1. Recurring appointments: from monthly resume updates, quarterly advisory board check-ins, quarterly goals check-ins, to LinkedIn quarterly updates, add calendar reminders that you should be addressing periodically! Here's a list of recurring items you might want to put in your calendar.

2. Classmates' birthdays: don't rely on Facebook or LinkedIn to get the birthdays of your classmates. Put those dates in your calendar so you'll be able to check them whether you are online or offline. The LinkedIn app also provides birthday reminders (and other check-in reminders), but not all your connections post their birthdays.

3. Your school's one year reunion: chances are that your school will host a one year reunion. Not sure of when it's happening? You can reach out to your school to request the date, and share it when you find out. It never hurts to plan early! If your school doesn't have one, take the initiative to plan something with close friends and create the opportunity to maintain those relationships!
