The shop features items from our Innovation Station expert makers --embroidered tea towels, baby bibs, aprons, etched mugs and votives, die-cut gift tags and more. Gorgeous items at bargain prices. 
  • Wilton Library will be closing early at 2pm on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and will be closed on Nov. 22 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We reopen on Friday, Nov. 23 at 10am.

How Sweet It Is in Wilton - Gingerbread House Contest 
Drop off dates: Sunday, Dec. 2, from 1-4:30pm & Monday, Dec. 3, from 10am-7:30pm
Wilton Library and the Wilton Chamber of Commerce invite families, groups and individuals to submit gingerbread or other edible models of Wilton houses or buildings to be put on display in the library. Entries will be judged in two age groups -- 12 and under and ages 13 to adult. Winners will be judged in three categories - best historical Wilton house, best creative Wilton building, and best whimsical design. From Dec. 4-18, visitors to the library also can vote for their favorite models. Winners will be announced Dec. 19. Winning submissions will be awarded Wilton Chamber gift certificates. Author Talk: Susan Orlean - The Library Book

Acclaimed author Susan Orlean, hailed as a 'national treasure' by The Washington Post, reopens the unsolved mystery of the most catastrophic library fire in American history, and delivers a dazzling love letter to a beloved institution - libraries - when she visits Wilton Library to discuss her latest nonfiction, The Library Book. Weaving her life-long love of books and reading with the fascinating history of libraries, Orlean presents a mesmerizing and compelling story about the devastating fire that took place on April 29, 1986 at the Los Angeles Public Library. THIS WEEK -- National Alzheimer's Awareness Month Panel Discussion and Author Talk
Thursday, November 15 @7pm
In honor of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month, this informational panel includes author Mary Hogan discussing her new novel, Left, which chronicles the emergence of her husband's dementia at a relatively early age. The panel discussion will include topics such as the medical implications of Alzheimer's, communication strategies, legal and financial planning, and family dynamics. A Q&A session will follow. Co-sponsored by the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and Wilton Library. Book signing and purchase will be available courtesy of Elm Street Books. More info & register
THIS WEEKEND -- Perspectives Film Series - Poliwood
Saturday, November 17 @7:30pm
Poliwood, by Oscar-winning director Barry Levinson, documents the 2008 Democratic and Republican National Conventions and looks at the way Hollywood celebrity and political activism have become entwined. Actors Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon and Sting among others are a part of the Creative Coalition, a non-partisan group that promotes the importance of the arts in education. Suggested donation: $5. Refreshments served. The New Perspectives Documentary series is programmed and moderated by filmmaker Megan Smith-Harris. A Q&A will follow the film.  More info & register
