It is hard to believe that the first four weeks of school are behind us. We are proud of what our students have accomplished in this first month and are looking forward to celebrating that with all of you at next Thursday's Back-to-School Night. The event will start at 6:00 in the La Vista/La Sierra library. Please mark September 12th Back-to-School Night as a "Can't Miss" on your calendar. It's a great opportunity to meet your student's teachers and get a feel for what their school days are all about. I look forward to seeing you all there!
The Mail Run's Begun
Adult Transition Students work at job sites both on and off campus to develop their vocational skills. Students in Mrs. Long Latteri's ATP class deliver the staff mail.
Rotary Recognition
The Fullerton Sunrise Rotary named Lorena Santiago the La Vista High School Student of the Quarter at their breakfast meeting on Thursday. Lorena's counselor, Mr. Diaz, presented the award. He praised Lorena for her work ethic and good grades which put her on a path to early graduation!
Let The Games Begin!
The flag football season kicked off on Tuesday. The Lions traveled to Gilbert High School in Anaheim for the first game. We didn't get the win this time, but we'll have another chance in the game against Brea Canyon in a couple of weeks.
