Hello Lions,

Week three is in the books. All of our beginning-of-the-year diagnostic and placement testing is now complete and, for that, we are grateful. Thank you to our students and teachers for working their way through these reading, writing, math and science exams. Now our staff will get busy analyzing the data so our students can learn more!

It was a relatively quiet week in the Pride, but our students and staff still got a chance to connect and engage both inside and outside the classroom. Video production students took photographs and co-directed the live stream at the football game between Sunny Hills and Troy High Schools.

The La Vista/La Sierra flag football team spent lunches this week practicing for their first game which is scheduled for next Tuesday, at Gilbert High School.

The Music and Percussion Club got their groove on and even invited students from the Adult Transition Program to jam with them!

Chess Clubbers spent their lunch "over the board" in room 5106.

The La Vista/La Sierra ASB organized games in the quad to keep the Lion spirit high.

Finally, the staff celebrated the end of week three with a 50s-style Breakfast Potluck. Thank you to Data Tech, Jill Brand, for organizing this event!

WEnjoy your three-day weekend, Lions. And remember to keep:
