Hello Lions,

As we complete the second week of the school year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for contributing to such a positive and energetic start to our year. Your enthusiasm and dedication have set a wonderful tone for what promises to be an exceptional year ahead. Our staff has created a welcoming and engaging environment for our students and our students are showing up ready to learn!

There were a lot of firsts this week including the first Student Ambassador Meeting, the first ASB Blood Drive, the first STEAM community partnership activity, and the first deliveries from Caf-ATP. We are all excited to carry this momentum forward and make this school year the best one yet. Here’s to another fantastic week of learning, growth, and community spirit and to our students:

Student Ambassadors

Students Ambassadors are selected from every fifth-period class. They gather monthly to give and receive feedback from their class to administration, counselors, and ASB. They also participate in team and leadership-building activities. Lunch is always part of the meeting and, at the end of the year, senior Ambassadors receive special recognition at the graduation ceremony. Ambassadors feedback from the first meeting was very positive:

"If felt very welcoming."

"Feels like I'm part of a club."

"I like how we can voice what we want."

" I like how the theme for the school year is innovate and how we're working on more freewill."

ASB Blood Drive

Over thirty students donated blood this week for the ASB blood drive. Twenty-seven units of blood were collected in this very successful community service project.

Starting to STEAM

The Fullerton Library kicked off the first in a series of STEAM events with our students with a kaleidocycle creation activity. Students reported enjoying the hands-on elements of the lesson and the opportunity to engage with other students. The pizza at the end was also a highlight!

Coffee Please!

CafATP is an adult transition micro-business operated by the staff and students in Mrs. Dobyn's class. The staff was delighted to have the weekly coffee and tea delivery service back in business!
