Jan 4 - Jan 8, 2020

Dear Hillcrest Families,

I hope that everyone had a fabulous Christmas and a wonderful New Year! As we say goodbye to 2020 and welcome in 2021 with hope and optimism, I would like to thank everyone for keeping the Hillcrest community safe and healthy throughout the pandemic.

I am so proud of our students, teachers and parents for coming together to ensure students remained engaged in quality learning experiences over the past few months, despite the restrictions in place for eveyone's safety.

A critical part of our COVID Safety Plan is completing the daily Health Check with your child. Please take some time to review the Health Check questions and the clear process (see below) to follow if your child is symptomatic before returning to school.

We look forward to welcoming all of our students back to class on Monday morning!

Snow and Sliding Expectations
The snow has finally arrived and it looks like it is here to stay! Please take some time to ask your child about the Snow and Sliding Expections (see link below) we have in place at Hillcrest to ensure students stay safe. Sliding hills may need to be closed from time to time if sliding conditions become too dangerous. Also, please do not send GT Snow Racers unless a GT day has been communicated with students the day before through our morning announcements.

Dance Program
Later next week each class will receive their first of four dance lessons provided by the amazing instructors at Just for Kicks Dance Studio. A huge thank you to our PAC for helping to sponsor this program for us. Unfortunately we were not able to run our usual skating program this year due to COVID 19 restrictions.
