PEP RALLY next Friday!
Friday, January 25th at 2:20 p.m.
This is a PEP RALLY you will not want to miss!
Please join us as we cheer on our Cougars and be sure to wear your BLUE & WHITE.
Thanks to our generous families, the profits from the spirit wear sales were able to be put back into school spirit! The Parents' Association will be participating in the rally and their reveal shouldn't be missed!
Wouldn't it be fun to show off your talent? How about being serenaded when you walk into school in the morning. CCDS is full of talent and we would love for you to share that with us. You are welcome to entertain for 5 minutes or the whole time.
Students, teachers, parents and grandparents, sign up for any morning (from 8:00 a.m. - 8:25 a.m.) and help us start our day off on a good "note"!

CCDS will be holding on a presentation on the new FACTS Grant and Aid application that we will be using for the 2019/2020 school year. Mr. Pence and Mr. Stoffer will walk you through how to complete the application and answer questions that you may have. The event will be on Tuesday January 22nd at 6 pm . Please contact Mr. Stoffer with any questions.
CCDS will be offering Chess Club every
Wednesday and Friday at 3:30 p.m.
starting Friday, January 25th.
Effie Berenshteyn will be teaching the Wednesday class, which will be focused on more advanced methodologies (for example, studying various "closings"). Fridays, covered by David DuPlain, will be a more basic lesson, set up for anyone, regardless of experience level.
Both days will include conceptual ideas behind the game of chess, with an attempt to teach these ideas in a way that will translate to everyday life.  The instructors will structure the lessons so that your child can attend either or both days allowing everyone to learn something new!
If your child is interested, please complete this FORM .
Afternoon Pick Up
Parents are always welcome to pick their children up inside the building after school, however, all dismissal safety procedures must stay in place. Should you choose to pick your children up inside, please park in the side lot before 3:00 p.m. and remain in the Performance Area with your children until car line has ended.

SUMMARY OF OUR CCDS CLOSING POLICY :
  • If Plain Local is open we are open.
  • If Plain Local closes for weather we are closed.
  • If Plain Local delays for weather we are closed.

SCHOOLWORK DURING A SCHOOL CLOSING:
  • When a snow day is anticipated, teachers will assign snow day work on the previous day.
  • When school is closed for two or more days, please check Renweb/parent emails for your child’s assignments. Teachers will post assignments by 8:00 a.m.
  • Most importantly, when assignments are finished, go out and enjoy your day and be safe!
Snow Dance by Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten Movement class joined in the snow theme hoping to bring our first big snow of the season. With this performance, I'd say it's a good idea to get out your snow boots this weekend!
Please donate to the Canton Country Day School's
2018-2019 Annual Giving Campaign!

What is the Annual Giving Campaign?
The Annual Giving Campaign is made up of yearly gifts from parents, faculty and staff, the Board of Trustees, grandparents, alumni, and friends of the school. Each year is a separate drive designed to meet the operating needs of the current year. We are asking for 100% participation from every CCDS family! No donation is too small.
Turn in your receipts to the office and earn cash back for Canton Country Day School. Thank you for supporting CCDS.
Remember to use the Smile Amazon link when you shop. Amazon will credit CCDS for every purchase you make.
