The mission of Madison Academy is to provide a quality education in a Christian environment helping students grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God & man.

Mustang Message from Principal Givens

What an exciting series of events we have had at Madison Academy! Throughout the week, we have honored students based their academic achievements. We have also had the privilege of participating in several spiritual celebrations, and I am proud to share some of those stories in this week's newsletter edition.

As I reflect upon my first year at Madison Academy, I am grateful for the relationships that have been established. When I think about our first grade students, I smile. I praise God for the opportunity that our team will have in the future to help them grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and others. This is not only our mission at Madison Academy, but also our responsibility.

We will cross the finish line strong as the 2022-2023 school year comes to a close. What a privilege and honor it is to call Madison Academy home. God is SO good!

GO MUSTANGS!

Respectfully,

Elementary Awards Day Ceremony

With over 80 additional students at the Elementary level in grades 1-6, our end-of-year Awards Day ceremony was a BIG event! We celebrated our students for Honor Roll, STAR Reading, and Math growth/achievement. During this event, we took advantage of the opportunity and privilege to read from God's Word and pray. We are SO proud of our Mustangs! A special thank you to each of our parents and caregivers for your ongoing support. We must continue to work together in order that our Mustangs can one day fulfill their potential.

Our 1st grade students experienced their first Awards Day ceremony event at the Elementary level. Their smiles shined brightly for everyone to see!

Joshua Eutsey, 2nd grade, opened the Awards Day event by reading from Colossians 3:23. What a privilege it is to have the opportunity to hear our students read from the Word of God!

4th grade students Katherine Ananyev, Matthew Allman, Emily Cooper, Victoria Dam, and Addison DiRenzo are recognized for an Honor Roll achievement.

Students from 1st-3rd grades, Piper Deutsch, Emerson Pierce, Owen Givens, KayLynn Rodgers, Cash Cochran, Avery Engelhardt, and Campbell Brown were recognized by MA Art Teacher, Mrs. Mattie Moody, for their work in the President's Art Show.

National Elementary Honor Society

Below you see many smiling faces from the first National Elementary Honor Society chapter at Madison Academy. These future 5th and 6th grade students were selected based on an elite cumulative average for all subjects during the 2022-2023 school year. These students pledged and committed to upholding a high standard of excellence academically, behaviorally, and spiritually as they serve others. They also committed to planning and implementing four community service projects at the Elementary level for the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited to see what the future holds for these students and how their decisions will impact our community.

Students read and recited the NEHS Pledge after our President, Isabella Stromei, facilitated the Induction Ceremony.

Each student was provided with a certificate from the National Elementary Honor Society at the conclusion of the event.

Prior to reciting of the pledge, students shared character traits such as scholarship, responsibility, service, and leadership.

3...2...1 BLASTOFF!

Mr. Dan and our 6th grade students powered through the rain to launch their bottle rockets! As students experienced a hands-on engineering process, they were all smiles as the bottles blasted off.

These bottles soared for surprisingly long distances as students had fun competing to see who could cover the greatest distance. What a great opportunity to learn AND get wet at the same time!

These ladies are taking a break from the rain to prepare their bottle rockets.

Multicultural Day

Our Mustangs had the opportunity to explore 15 different countries during our Multicultural Event. They carried a passport receiving food, enthusiasm, education, literature, and entertainment from our passionate parents who volunteered to provide these unique learning experiences. We witnessed multiple facets of various cultures, including live performances for our student body, such as the Chinese dragon pictured above.

The pictures speak volumes to the excitement of our students for this multicultural day event! Mark 16:15 says, "Go into ALL the world and preach the gospel to ALL creation." Thank you to our committee of teachers and parent volunteers who made this exciting event possible for our community.

We've taken many photos from the event, and you can download them for free.

Photos from Multicultural Day at MA

Gwenyth Brown, a 1st grade student, listens attentively to learn more about Indian culture.

These 1st grade students from Mrs. Henson's class, Lucy Fowler, Ansley Farris, Price Ferrara, and Evan Mann, are excited to show off learning resources.

Students were not the only group excited for the Multicultural Day event! Mrs. Aimee Hurt is enthusiastically soaking in the Jamaican culture.

Baptisms of Cydney, Emery, and Ashley

May is a special time of year at Madison Academy for baptisms in the Jordan River (Indian Creek) on our campus property. These three 6th grade students had their friends, teachers, and family members praising God as we celebrated with them!

Emery Pippins is immersed by her volleyball coach, Mrs. Becky Greene, who shared a powerful testimony to Emery's heart to serve others and God.

Mrs. April Pendergrass and Ashley Adkins were all smiles as Ashley was "buried with Him through baptism," as we find in Romans 6:4.

What a joyful moment as Cydney Crawford embraces her teacher, Mrs. April Pendergrass, as she was raised to walk in the newness of life in Christ!

Cydney Crawford's friends were excited to congratulate and celebrate with her following the baptism. Friends are so important to help encourage and pray for one another throughout life's journey.

Weekly Ticket Winners

Our desire at MA is to create a culture celebrating Christ-like character! The students pictured above were honored and applauded by their peers over the intercom for exhibiting Christian character. Each Friday, our teachers nominate students that have shined with the spirit of Madison Academy. They show love, kindness, generosity, empathy, and overall embody how Jesus treated others. The student names are turned in, and ten winners are chosen for a unique award!

Congratulations to Miles Koester, Annabelle Mertz, Cameron Payne, Matthew Allman, Sophie Tucker, Lillian Kyle, Kyle Rae Smith, Mason O'Connor, and Jack Knox.

Each amazing student received a Zaxby's gift card and a special popcorn treat. Congratulations to these Mighty Mustangs!

Chapel Time Takeaways

Elementary Chapel has concluded for the 2022-2023 school year. We are so thankful for Coach Pressley and his Spiritual Formation Team for their prayerful planning to make our Chapel gathering events filled with scripture, prayer, purposeful skits, and singing. We pray for our Senior Spiritual Formation Team leaders who will soon graduate!
