Letter from the Pastors regarding
Fasting and Prayer for the New Year

Greetings to All,

As a community we have set aside a time for prayer and fasting during the month of January for many years. We have done this for several reasons. One, to humble ourselves before the Lord declaring our great need of Him at the outset of the new year. Two, as our way also of setting our hearts with intentionality at this new threshold.

You may be someone experienced with fasting or you may be someone who has no experience with it at all.  In either case, I am listing here a website that does a great job in answering all kinds of questions about the topic. Here it is:
In addition, some of you may know the ministry of Jentenzen Franklin. Rev. Franklin is a great motivator in this regard. There are many of his teachings on YouTube about the subject. We know he will bless you.

As a reminder, we begin our fast on Tuesday evening somewhere around 5:00 p.m. It will end on Friday evening at the same time. On Wednesday evening we will meet at Bethany House for some prayer together. On Friday evening we will also gather for a night of Soaking Prayer. That is a time to come into a quiet atmosphere, come out of the traffic, and spend some quiet moments with the Lord.  The Prayer Team will be available as well to pray for you. We hope to see you.

Fasting and Prayer, gets God's attention.

Blessings, Pastors

If you are interested in joining a Hill House or would like more information, you can click here for the sign-up form or call the Church Office at (631-924-8617).

The Hill Houses are designed for fellowship, discipleship and/or engaging with others in a particular ministry of the Church. The Hill Houses meet once monthly formally, with additional gatherings as desired.  We presently have two types of Hill Houses.

Some Houses are called "Fellowship Houses." These Houses meet in a home or church meeting room for the above purposes.  If you are new to the community this is a good way to meet folks and get connected.

We also have "Mission Houses." These Houses have been formed around shared-ministry involvement.  Houses are presently formed around the ministries of Music, Sunday School, Prayer, Ushers and Greeters. In the works is a Hill House being formed with those sharing a burden to outreach to the needs of the community. Let us know if it is something you are interested in.

Connecting with God and others is the vision of our church. The Bible is clear that everyone of us is called to serve others in one capacity or another. Everyone of us is valuable in His eyes. We welcome any questions. Someone will gladly get back to you.
