Barb's Medical Minute
I think we are all intrigued by alternative treatments and medicine….but are they safe and do they work? Let me help. Apple Cider Vinegar enthusiasts claim that just 1 or 2 tablespoons a day can help regulate blood sugar, promote weight loss, lower cholesterol, reduce cancer risks, cure skin problems and body odor. Really??!! NO. There’s little scientific evidence that will support those claims, but it can trigger nausea, damage tooth enamel, and irritate the esophagus! It’s good in a salad dressing, though. How about the super food, berries…acai, blue, cran, goji, or straw? Yep! Many contain anthocyanins which act as anti-inflammatories and may provide other health benefits. For example, goji contains other antioxidants as well. Stick with me, I’ll steer you right.
Patsy Bade, Vicki Frederickson, Sheila Miller and Millie Myers

For the friends & family of Mary Miles who mourn the death of her son.

For the family & friends of Robin Curle as they mourn the sudden death of Robin's husband, Howie. Services will be held at Emmanuel this Friday, August 5 @ 11am.
