FROM THE COUNSELING OFFICE

Dear students,

My gift to you is one of encouragement. I believe in the power of words...hence the new bathroom mirror decals around campus which are meant to brighten your day!  As you begin exams week, I want to share a prayer that gave me a healthy perspective in my days as a student:

Lord, in opening myself up to evaluation, critique, and judgment, let me be open to your will in my life; give me your strength and support as I face the challenge that has been placed before me. When I am filled with anxiety and trepidation, and failures of the past threaten to undermine possibilities in the present, help me to accept my true vocation: to see beyond the uncertainty of the future by resting in your steadfast love. Touch this moment with a grace filled perspective that will transform my need for results into an opportunity to deepen my understanding of your plan for my life. Help me to listen to the successes and failures, and discover any gifts that will help me be an expression of your love in the world. I place this and all moments in your hands, trusting in your will, and opening my heart to your love. AMEN.

I pray that our loving God provides His comfort and wisdom this week.  May you have a rejuvenating and safe Christmas break and return to us in January 2019 full of hope!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Cischke
