This and That for the week...
Pastor, Barb, and the staff receive information for and about members or meetings before and after the worship services. We appreciate the information.

The problem is…..we don’t always remember it! Not saying we are old and forgetful, but especially Pastor and Kris, have other things on their minds like conducting the service. For that reason, we would appreciate if you could follow up with a phone call to the office, or an email to that person or info@emmanuel-elca.org. That way, there is a record and the names and details are correct so we can take the necessary steps to follow-up.

Keep in mind that the office is closed after 2pm on Thursday until Monday at 8:30am. If you need something or someone ASAP, please call Pastor’s emergency number listed below. Thanks!
NEW DATE

"Sharing Your Memorable Life Stories"

Tuesday, January 18th
at 1:30pm
via Zoom
Have your grandchildren ever asked you, “What was it like when you were little?”
Jane Ann McLachlan  Previously she had a similar program that was well-attended and many asked to have her present more of her program. Unfortunately due to Omicron, she cannot deliver it live, but will present an interactive live online workshop to explore how to write your memoirs that your family will treasure for generations.

To register, click the link below and provide your email to subscribe to this webinar:
Starting Monday, January 24 from 10:30am-12noon
In the Office Center

If you have lost a loved one, you are invited to join this 6-week session. It will take you through the various stages of grieving to help you realize it is a process that everyone works through at their own personal rate.

Contact Barb Spenks at the office to register.
Please welcome Mark & Jane Moderhack to Emmanuel. They come to us from Summerville SC and are year round residents living in Osprey.

A new member class is forming for March 13th and 20th. For more information see Barb in the Narthex or call the office.
Barb's Medical Minutes
Heat or Ice? Not sure which to use when, well here is a rule of thumb. Apply heat to sore, tight, or spasming muscles and ice for acute injuries. Apply a heating pad for 20-30 minutes at a time. Then remove it and wait 30-40 minutes before using it again. It’s important to allow the tissue to cool down. Don’t have an ice pack? Use a bag of frozen peas. Best to not eat them later, though, just saying.
