We are in the process of determining how many giving envelopes to order for 2022. We threw away over 200 boxes this year. If you received envelopes in 2021 but no longer need them (you are giving electronically) please email the office at info@emmanuel-elca.org. We'd like to cut down on how many we have to order and throw away, thus saving money.

Christian Education at Emmanuel is looking for your help. We would love to include more members to help share ideas and opinions as we update our technology and educational offerings. Do you have an hour or so a month to join us in discussions of new classes to plan? Or, would you be interested in leading a study or discussion group? Or, do you have skill in technology to help post classes or studies online? We appreciate whatever gift you have to offer, and we invite you to join us on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. in the church office. If you have questions, please call Joy at 856-981-9933. Or, you may email the committee anytime at emmchristianed@gmail.com with any suggestions or comments.

  1. Christian Ed is planning a study on the book of James this Fall. In addition, a book study on “The World is About to Turn” is being planned.
  2. The VICA series on Martin Luther King will be offered in January 2022.
  3. Torah Tuesdays at 10 is ongoing and well attended both in person and online
Barb's Medical Minute
After doing a stretching routine regularly for 8 weeks, older adults saw their blood pressure drop by as much as 7 points. Even more surprising was that those who took a brisk walk daily saw less benefits, even though the routines for both walkers and stretchers were for 30 minutes, 5 days a week. Even though walking is really important for heart health it seems that stretching has unique benefits for blood pressure. Learn something every day!
Welcome little Elizabeth Zoe, granddaughter of Scott & Julie Pinkerton to the Emmanuel family. "Deacon Grandpa" baptized Liza this past weekend.
