A MESSAGE FROM MRS. POWERS

Dear Parents,

Joyful January was truly meaningful to the students and the staff! During one of the activities, a fourth grade student suggested that we collect gently used toys and share our blessings with someone in need. This compassionate idea led to a search for where we could place such a donation.

We learned that North Way Church has a team of volunteers helping and ministering to a community of refugees from Bhutan and Nepal who are now living in Pittsburgh. These refugees were living in deplorable conditions in Nepal. Most of them do not speak much English. And, while they are hardworking people and want to support their families, they are working minimum wage jobs. They do not have money to purchase non-essentials, such as toys for their children.

What a blessing to share our toy drive donations with them! If you are interested in donating, please drop off your gently used toys in the box outside the Wexford Campus office anytime from March 18 - 29.

Yours in Christ,
Carrie A. Powers
Wexford Campus Principal
