West Hartford Teacher of the Year Finalists Announced

The 2022 finalists include Alanna Nabel Goldberg (pictured above), daughter of Emanuel members Dick and Doris Nabel. Alanna is a speech-language pathologist at Charter Oak International Academy

Kiddush at The Emanuel

To plan for in-person Shabbat Kiddush each week, please register your attendance by Wednesday for the upcoming Shabbat. It is very helpful to know how many people to cook for each week!!
The Emanuel offers several options for Kiddush preparation and service. Available sponsorship 2022 dates below:

Speaker Rahel Musleah introduces audiences to the distinctive heritage of the Jews of India and Iraq.

Presented by The Adult Education Committee, this virtual tour includes visits to sites and synagogues in Bombay, Calcutta and Cochin.

The day includes special honors given during Shabbat services. for all Beth Hillel past presidents and those involved in the merger between the former Beth Hillel Synagogue and The Emanuel Synagogue.

A special sermon will be given by Rabbi Philip Lazowski: “Reflections of Beth Hillel,” as well as a dedication of the Holocaust Torah. A Kiddush lunch with a dessert surprise will follow!
