HOSA Blood Drive - November 8th

The HOSA-Future Health Professional students at LHN are partnering with Versiti Blood Center of Michigan to save community lives. By taking an hour out of your day (or less if you use VersiPASS), you get to make a real difference. Odds have it that someone you know will need blood during your lifetime. In fact, every two seconds someone in America needs blood – from trauma victims to cancer patients, from mothers giving birth to premature babies, and so many more.

Please come out to support our drive on Wednesday, November 8th from 8am-1:30pm at LHN. Click HERE to sign up for your donation time. You will be joining the HOSA students who will be there to donate, volunteer, and cheer you on. We look forward to seeing you there! Click HERE for more information about Versiti Blood Center of Michigan.

Sincerely, Nicole Mandziara, HOSA Advisor

and the HOSA-Future Health Professional Students

This Week's Good Manners

Good manners are a way redeemed children of God can love and serve their neighbors. Each Monday we will introduce the students to simple acts that demonstrate good manners.

Don’t share hurtful things - Sharing a screenshot of an unkind text or retelling something rude you “heard” about a person is not being a good friend. Even if your intentions are good, sharing hurtful things causes pain to everyone involved and puts you in the middle of drama. If it is hurtful, don’t share or repeat it. You may think you are being the “good guy” by letting someone know they are being talked about, but you are usually causing unnecessary drama. Everyone is human and people get bugged with each other and sometimes say things they shouldn't. It only blows up when that information is shared or spread, so don’t be a part of it. Never bait others to get them to say or type something mean. The best thing you can do is be supportive and kind in words and texts and encourage other to do the same. If there is something significant being talked about that worries you, share it with a trusted adult to help and get perspective
