Week of Prayer
Three times each day during the week of October 14-18, students made their way to the Chapel to hear from Pastor Ivan and Pastor David about the God who loves them beyond measure and who desires a close relationship with each one of them. The students sang and Music Ministry and MS Praise Team led in the music as they worshiped together. Prayers were offered that the Lord's spirit would be felt at EAA. Prayers were answered.
ASB Face-Off & Vespers
On September 20, after a grueling week of IA Testing, HS ASB led out in an afternoon of fun followed by vespers.

Adventist Little League
Adventist Little League has just completed another successful season. Rather than try to work around vacations, the games were scheduled for September and October this year. Students in K-6th grade learned baseball skills such as catching, hitting and how to be a team player. It was exciting to see the improvement made by the students as their confidence grew. Special thanks to Denise and David Baker and Stephanie Hebbel for their leadership and to the coaches who gave of their time and expertise to give the students this opportunity. Thanks, too, to the Water Warriors who faithfully distributed water, provided by EAA, to the thirsty players and fans. It was great to see parents and grandparents there every week cheering on all of the students.

The Davis Principles
Hawks Family,

I was blessed last week to sit in on the Week of Prayer meetings at all three levels, and worship with our students. What a privilege that we often easily take for granted.

God was at work here at EAA! A huge thank you to our speakers, Pastor Ivan and Pastor David, for connecting with our student body.

Our prayer for our students throughout the week, was from Colossians 1:9 - "So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what He wants to do in your lives, and we ask Him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom."

We pray that our student's hearts will continue to be flooded with His presence, and an understanding of His will for their lives.

Where in the World are EAA Alumni?
Christi Bowman (Anderson) Class of 1992

I’m so excited to share some of my story since graduating from EAA in 1992! I had known since a young age that I wanted to be a Registered Nurse. Some of my early memories are of the nurses that helped both me and my sister (Shannon Fowler) as we battled childhood diseases that carry over to our lives today. We are both healthy and strong and I believe it was in great part due to the care our nurses gave us.
That said, I set my sights on Loma Linda University! It was so fun to go off to college and beyond with some of my EAA graduating class as many of us chose the path of healthcare. After a year at La Sierra University, Kristin Kaylor (Bumroongchart), Cindy Grey (Magan) and I set off for LLU.
After graduating with my BSN and PHN, I began my career at LLUMC working on an adult Medical/Surgical floor waiting patiently for a beloved position in pediatrics at LLUCH. I transferred to peds, spending 3 years there before returning home to amazing San Diego where I have been ever since! I have been at Rady Children’s Hospital for over 19 years, working in their step down unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and now Emergency Department (ED). I found my real passion in the ED as a bedside RN, soon becoming a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse (CPEN), Trauma Nurse Team Lead, Flow RN, Charge RN, and most recently a Supervisor where I specialize in trauma and disaster preparedness.
I have been involved in our community through various outreach programs including Camp Wana Kura (diabetes camp), Summer Medical Academy (teens learn about healthcare career opportunities), Children’s 101 (influential members of SD learn the unique needs of children), and Champions for Health (Medical volunteers).
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, snowboarding and traveling.
