Are you thinking about becoming a Catholic, or are already a Catholic but not confirmed? The R.C.I.A. is a process of spiritual growth and exploration of our Catholic faith. It is a faith journey for adults who would like to explore the possibility of becoming fully initiated into the Catholic Church through the celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist . We will be starting a new season this month. Please contact David Morris at 910-477-7055 or e-mail davidmorris9@yahoo.com to sign up or for more information.

Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration in the St. Patrick Chapel — located in our new administrative building, The McGivney Center — is scheduled to begin Monday, October 24th at 9:30 am. Adoration hours will initially be between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. It is intended that anyone can visit at any time between the hours of 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, even if not staying for an entire hour.

Adorers are invited to sign up, beginning the weekend of September 10th using the signup sheets available in the Gathering Space. Please also take an instruction sheet from the notebook at that time. Sign up will be for one month. Adorers can continue to come at their scheduled time or change the time of the visit if needed. An attendance sheet will be located near the door immediately outside the Chapel. Adorers are asked to sign, date, and provide a phone number. Adorers are asked to sign this attendance sheet upon every visit. If you know in advance that you will be unable to make your scheduled visit, please check the list of Adorers in the back of the attendance book to see if you can change with someone on a different day or time. Adorers are asked to make their own arrangements to fill their time slot.

There will be prayer cards, rosaries, and Bibles available for use. Please do not remove the Bibles as they are for all Adorers use!

For more information call Anita Vevasis 910-579-3544 or Kelly Holthaus 443-630-9910.
St. Brendan Columbarium

The Saint Brendan Columbarium is a sacred space, a prayerful place of reverence, and a place to remember and honor the devout. Catholic cemetery grounds are consecrated. These sacred grounds are an extension of the Catholic Church. We have begun building our new phase. If you would like to purchase a Columbarium niche please call Rusty in the office at 910-754-8544 ext. 6. There are 24 in-ground niches.

Please remember there should not be decorations on the stones, i.e., stickers, rosaries, flowers (real or artificial), or any kind of tape as the glue may ruin the stone. Also no statues should be placed inside the columbarium. These guidelines are so the entire Columbarium will look neat, clean, and uniform.
