The weather is turning slightly cooler and Fall had given us a little glimpse this week. Happy Fall Break! I hope your family enjoys the week and you are able to make lots of wonderful memories!

Remember the WLC is NOT closed unless the entire Humble ISD is closed. Even though elementary schools in Humble will be closed on Monday, October 20th, the WLC is NOT closed.

The WLC Halloween Parades and Parties will be at the end of the month on October 30th & 31st. Parents and families are invited to come park and watch the parade (See diagram in an info box below). Guests are not allowed in the building for the parties and please do not send outside treats. The WLC is providing all the food and treats for the children's parties. Pizza will be served for lunch, so you do not need to send a lunch on these days unless your child will not eat pizza.

RSVP's for Thanksgiving Feasts have gone home. Please return those to the WLC as soon as possible. We are looking for cooked turkey donations too. We combine all the food brought in the day of the feast and dish out a delicious Thanksgiving meal! It is a big day where the WLC serves around 600 people per day.

Atascocita Methodist Church and the WLC will be combining to celebrate our 40th and 35th year Anniversaries on Sunday, November 16th. There will be a special service at 10:30am followed by lunch in the gym. If you or any former WLC alumni you know, have photos to share with us from the past, please email them to me at beth@am-church.org. If you would like to come be a part of the celebration, please RSVP to the QR code in the information box included in this email for the lunch. It is important we have a count for the food.

The WLC will post a Happy Birthday to your child on our electronic sign. The sign will run for one week for a $10 charge to your Brightwheel account. See the slide below or email Darla at darlajanak@gmail.com to sign up.

On behalf of Atascocita Methodist Church, I invite you to come to join us for worship every Sunday morning at 9 am for Contemporary worship and at 11 am for Traditional worship. Nursery is provided at both services. Sunday School for all ages will be at 10 am.

Bring your child to enjoy the new Sunday morning line up for kids! Our very own Ms. Amanda (Explorer's Kindergarten) and Ms. Carly (High Flyer's Bridge class), are the new Children's Ministry Directors, and they have exciting new additions to Sundays as well as Wednesday afternoons. At 10am, the new program is called JAM (Jesus and Me) and is a fun music filled worship experience just for kids!

Trunk or Treat hosted by Atascocita Methodist Church will be Sunday evening, October 26th from 5 to 7pm. There will be candy given out at vehicle trunks, hot dogs, games, inflatables, and more! Plan to come and have fun!

Have a wonderful Fall Break!

There is no place like the WLC!

Presenting Our New Acolytes

On Sunday, October 12, we will be presenting our six new acolytes. These six acolytes have gone through a five-week training with Charlotte and me. Apart from lighting and extinguishing candles they will also assist during communion and baptism. This training has been an opportunity for them to learn about the meaning of worship, symbols, and paraments. As an important ministry, acolytes and clergy help create a holy place where people can come away from their hectic pace of human life and find comfort, peace, reassurance, and renewal in their Christian lives. Please join me in praying for these new acolytes as they serve.
