COMMUNITY EVENT- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Franklin Lakes Recreation is holding their annual charity fundraiser, Baskets for Hope, on Saturday, June 10. This year they will honor the memory of Charlie Landers. Charlie attended Ramapo High School and played basketball and travel baseball for the Franklin Lakes War Eagles from 2013-2019. Charlie was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare pediatric cancer in 2019 and after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle, on March 8, 2022, the Landers lost their son. Charlie's legacy isn't cancer, it's joy! They need assistance with refereeing and scorekeeping and are looking for volunteers. Interested volunteers can email Mr. Dave Deubel at ddeubel@teaneckschools.org. For more information, here is the link for the website.

Indian Hills Updates

Indian Hills welcomed back some traditions this year including Bring Your Child to Work Day, Earth Day and Arbor Day while introducing some new celebrations in the form of “Hills-a-Palooza.”  Our student body, teachers, support staff, student government, clubs, and activities all came together to make for an amazing day celebrating all things Indian Hills.  Highlights of the day included tie-dying in special services, crazy kickball and tag in physical education, making origami bookmarks and story time with the English department, sand bottle art with guidance, friendship bracelets and patriotic selfie stations with history, anatomical models, fingerprint art and planting aloe with science, live guest hosts on morning announcements, color by number activities and crafts  in world languages and mathematics, building bird houses in applied technology, and so much more!  Clubs, activities, games, and music were enjoyed in our main courtyard as students celebrated the day filled with beautiful weather, arts, humanities, and what it means to Be a Brave (Big or Small!) on our first Hills-a-Palooza.  #GreatDayToBeABrave

Ramapo High School students visited Franklin Lakes Middle School to speak to the incoming Freshman class.
