Appreciation

"Mothers and teachers share a common bond -

a selfless dedication to nurturing and guiding us through life's lessons." Unknown

May 14, 2023

As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for all our faculty and staff do for our students. Their dedication and commitment to our students are exceptional, and we are continuously amazed by the energy and passion they bring to their work every day.

Our faculty and staff are the backbone of our schools, and their hard work and tireless efforts make a real difference in the lives of our students. Our staff positively impacts our students and our community through engaging lesson plans, their ability to connect with students, and their tireless dedication to helping them achieve their goals.

Similarly, mothers play a crucial role in shaping our lives. Your unwavering love, care, and dedication are truly inspiring. Moms nurture, support, and guide us through life's ups and downs, and they are the backbone of our families.

On behalf of our entire school community, I want to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to our staff and moms. Thank you for all you do and for making our school and community a wonderful place to learn and grow. Wishing you a happy Mother's Day!

All my best,

Dr. Rui Dionisio

Community Event

Indian Hills Updates

Horticulture students applied their knowledge and skills in the floral design unit to create teacup floral arrangements. Wishing all of our Braves’ moms a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

Congratulations to the Indian Hills High School Robotics Club for their Winnings at the 19th Annual North Jersey Robotics Competition at Passaic County Community College this week. All in all, the students team took home 4 trophies: Best of Show Award, 1st Place Change a Tire Challenge, 3rd Place Obstacle Course Challenge, and 1st Place Science and Technology Award. We are very proud of our team and their accomplishments.

The Jewish Culture Club of Indian Hills wrapped up their busy first year with a Lag B'Omer event roasting marshmallows, archery, games, and much more, attracting more than 15 teens! We want to thank everyone for being a part of our first successful year! We can’t wait to return next year with even more programming and events! Look for us in the fall and we hope you have a wonderful summer!

Congratulations to Emily Levi, the county-wide winner of the grade 11-12 Bergen County Soil Conservation District Poster Contest.  Students researched the topic for the 2023 conservation poster contest “One Water” to gain an understanding of how the water on earth is one of our most precious resources. Limited supplies of freshwater, must be balanced with our many needs for clean and plentiful water. Water takes various forms in the environment, and it is used over and over again by plants, animals and people as it moves through the water cycle. From the top of the mountains all the way to the coast, it is all “One Water.”  You can find resources at your school or public library. Books and local newspapers are great resources as well as the internet.
