Ramapo Indian Hills DECA

Ramapo Indian Hills DECA recently competed at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Orlando Florida! Our chapter won the Community Service and Ethical Leadership awards. We are very proud of all the accomplishments our members have earned this year.

Ramapo Indian Hills DECA would like to thank Ryan LaDuca, senior at Indian Hills, for his dedication to our chapter over the past four years. Ryan has been an integral part of our success as a chapter and the voice of New Jersey DECA, serving as the Vice President of Media this year.

Indian Hills Updates

New Jersey High School Voter Registration Week began Monday, April 24. The goal of the week is to encourage 17 and 18-year-olds to register and prepare to vote. Pictured below is Grant Asgarian, an Indian Hills High School student from the Class of 2024 and member of our UP-International Studies and Business. Grant, who spearheaded the campaign, provided information and successfully encouraged students to register during lunch periods. Over 24 completed applications were submitted.

Indian Hills Athletics Updates

Thank you to US Women’s Bobsled Olympic hopeful, Lauren Brzozowski, for coming to Indian Hills to share her story and give us insight into the mindset of a champion! She spent so much time with some of our student-athletes and gave them an up-close and hands-on experience! Thank you Team Zozzy!

What a week for the Indian Hills Girls Golf Team! They broke their own IHHS school record (which they set earlier this year) for lowest 9-hole foursome score of 176 (Julia Kunz, Gaby Becker, Kate Giletta, Claire Giletta). Gaby Becker, Kate Giletta and Claire Giletta also qualified for the Bergen County Tournament! Let’s Go Braves!!

Congratulations to the Girls & Boys Track Teams for qualifying for the Penn Relays! The Girls 4x100 was 3rd in their heat and the Girls 4x400 ran a season best time! The Boys 4x800 Team ran a season best, which ended up being the 2nd fastest time in Bergen County and 12th fastest time in NJ this season! The Boys 4x100 Team finished 3rd in their heat and the Boys 4x400 team ran a season best time as well! All in all, it was a great weekend to be a Brave!
