First, I must apologize for the two week hiatus... I decided to take a break from the newsletter to finalize our new branding. It was time for a change - oddly enough when I asked clients, friends and colleagues about the new logo in comparison to our old logo, I was quite surprised to hear no one really liked our previous logo and in particular the owl icon... This owl is much bolder, brighter and doesn't leave you guessing what the name of the company is. I would hear: PRoo, P-R-owl, and more. Lessons learned - vet before you change! I vetted this one, but would love to hear your thoughts on it - email me!
It will be some time before I get all aspects of our branding changed over (our website is huge, not to mention all the documents I have to change - so forgive me if you see both the old and the new for awhile.. After all, I have to get your work done as well! The rebranding is an after-hours project!
And, along with the branding change, of course, I had to change this newsletter as well. Not only has the design changed, I am splitting it in two - a version for local subscribers and a version for non-local subscribers. I have consistently received complaints of too many local items within that just don't apply to 70% of our subscriber base. This issue there is only one version as there isn't much to say on the local front. It makes sense, and I'm happy to listen to you and change accordingly. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out.
Also - over the next three weeks, you may see a little more about Constant Contact from me than usual. Every year Constant Contact puts on an event called Summer Camp for their partners. Basically, we need to follow along and participate in their challenges and activities to earn swag (the important stuff) - but really it is to ensure we are educated on the products (the really important stuff). I've already earned my Archer Badge for Summer Camp - woohoo! It is also that time of year when I need to re-certified to keep my Certified Constant Contact Solution Provider status. I'm in my 18th year selling Constant Contact and helping businesses with their email marketing needs. WOW!
