Living as the Body of Christ
This weekend, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (in Latin: Corpus Christi) the Real Presence of the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ in the elements of the Holy Eucharist. St. Paul, in his letter to the community at Corinth, gives us the first written account of this sacred memorial, describing what was already a living tradition amongst the disciples, responding to Jesus’ instruction at the Last Supper to: “do this in remembrance of me.”
