Message from Bob Henderson                       Friday, July 27, 2018

Dear friends,

Summer worship continues to be rich and full. In particular, I've enjoyed the worship interviews with our summer interns who serve in various social service agencies along with Covenant members who commit much time and energy to those agencies as well.

Their inspiring stories have reminded me of the value of serving on the front lines of mission. This week, we'll hear from Stapleton/Davidson intern Zach Miller and Covenant member Paul Finnen about their work at Men's Shelter of Charlotte.

In addition, we'll continue our series on the Book of Acts by reading this passage about a conflict (can you imagine!) in the early church and the division it caused. We'll explore the nature and challenge of forgiveness and invite everyone to consider taking specific steps toward reconciliation. It promises to be a challenging Sunday, and I trust it will be helpful as well.
I continue to solicit your prayers for the Implementation Team for the For a Whole Community campaign. Words can barely capture the astonishing amount of work they're doing to pave the way forward. We'll bring details when we have them but want you to know that great progress continues to be made.
See you this Sunday.
