Some dates pass on the calendar; today stays with us..
This week, we pause to remember September 11, 2001... the lives that were lost, the families forever changed, and the first responders and ordinary people who ran toward danger to help complete strangers. Twenty-five years later, the images and emotions of that day remain vivid for so many of us. We remember not only the tragedy, but also the extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and humanity that followed. We will never forget.
One of the lasting lessons of that time was how deeply connected we are to the people around us. Communities looked out for one another. Neighbors helped neighbors. People took responsibility not simply for themselves, but for the places and people they shared their lives with. Twenty-five years later, that's still something worth holding onto. Caring for our homes, our neighborhoods, and our communities may seem like a small thing, but pride in where we live is one of the ways we show respect for everyone who shares that space with us.
That's something we've always believed about the work we do. Taking care of a property isn't simply about having the greenest lawn, the nicest patio, or the best looking landscape on the block. It's about maintaining the place where families gather, children grow up, neighbors meet, and memories are made. Whether we're maintaining a landscape, solving a drainage problem, building a patio, or installing a fence, we're ultimately helping people take care of their little piece of the community... and we think there's something meaningful in that.

Lolla-POLL-ooza:
Apparently, true wealth isn't measured in yachts, stock portfolios, or offshore accounts... it's measured in absorbency. With 341 votes cast, the good paper towels took the crown at 27%. That's right: nothing says "I've made it" quite like grabbing TWO premium sheets without briefly calculating whether the spill really warrants that kind of extravagance. Somewhere, a billionaire just whispered, "Easy there, moneybags."
Name-brand batteries and same-day delivery tied for second, proving we're equally impressed by long-lasting AA's and paying someone $9 because putting on pants felt unreasonable. A full tank of gas still made 17% feel like oil tycoons, while guacamole came in last (apparently even imaginary wealth has limits). So congratulations, everyone: we're not rich, but the tank is full, the remote works, the package arrives tonight, and we're absolutely reckless with the Bounty. 💰
Few things have the power to control an adult's emotions quite like a simple cardboard box traveling across the country. "Out for delivery" can turn an otherwise responsible person into a Labrador staring out the front window. Then comes the photo notification: Delivered! Your heart leaps... until you realize that's not your porch. AND there's a palm tree!!
But sometimes the delivery gods smile upon us. The package arrives early, the thing you desperately needed actually fits, or (best of all) you completely forgot what you ordered and Past You sends Present You a surprise. So this week, we're asking: which delivery experience has the most power to completely make (or wreck) your day? 📦

Friday: Let's enjoy this one while we've got it. Abundant sunshine, highs between 75 and 79, and finally some lower humidity make for an absolutely gorgeous day. Mainly clear and cool conditions follow overnight, with lows dropping into the 50 to 55 range and some patchy valley fog developing late. Cool, crisp, and exceptionally comfortable... sometimes you really do get exactly what you wanted.
Saturday: Let's enjoy this one while we've got it.
Sunday: Very likely, you'll wake up to some leftovers from Saturday night. Showers and embedded downpours remain possible, mainly early, before clouds gradually break and some sunshine returns. Highs reach the upper 70s to around 80, although humidity makes a comeback. A little messy in the morning, warm and steamy later... we'll just leave that there.
Monday: Eventually, everyone needs a recovery day. Skies become mostly sunny, humidity backs off, and a comfortable breeze accompanies highs in the upper 70s. After the weekend's excitement, Monday looks pleasantly uncomplicated (which may be exactly what we need).
Next week: Rounding out the week, the pattern looks relatively calm with a seasonable mix of sunshine and passing clouds and generally comfortable temperatures. There may be a small opportunity for a stray shower along the way, but overall things look pretty cooperative. Nothing too hot, nothing too wild... apparently the weekend got most of that out of its system.
