All items collected are distributed through the two local Churches and kept in town helping families in need. Two ways to donate: A drive-through drop off center at the Town Bar, 60 Hemlock Lane, behind Town Hall. Contact-less Toy Parade: parading through the neighborhoods on as in past years, collecting toys/food along the way. We ask items be left curbside to avoid contact. The Union Firefighters of Halifax have partnered with Toys for Tots and are collecting donations too as part of a separate effort. A wonderful nationwide organization but the items collected at the fire station, this year, will not stay in Halifax. Middleborough - The Grinch Stole Christmas Sun, Dec 6. The Grinch would love nothing more than to steal Christmas this year, but The Bridgewater Business Association won't let him!
This year has put quite a damper on the events we hold so dear to our hearts. As disappointed as we are to cancel Christmas on the common, we have to also remember that the event is not only a lot of fun, it also contributes money to fuel assistance by way of the Assistance fund. Spillane's nursery in Middleboro has been gracious enough to team up to offer this event. Our great professional photographer from Q the memories photography will be there to capture the moments with The Grinch. The venue is outdoors and the setups will be strategically placed to allow distancing within the photos. While you are there, please feel free to stop inside the store, pick out your perfect tree and grab your own photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. We are selling tickets by the hour to reduce capacity at the event. All proceeds will go to the Bridgewater Business Association assistance fund. Tickets are sold per family and include 2 adults and all children residing in the home. We ask that if you attend with another family each family purchase a ticket. After all, this is for charity.
