Brockton - Make Your Own Cozy Indoor Shoes Sat & Sun, Feb 20 - 21, 10a - 12p. Fuller Craft Museum. Learn the basics of shoemaking to make a cozy pair of indoor shoes custom made for your feet. Follow the steps from design to construction including pattern making directly on your feet, to sewing the upper, creating a padded sole, and assembling the shoe. There are options for hand and machine sewing. The simple design is customizable with fun embellishments, the only limit is your imagination. Using your choice of materials such as felted wool fabric which you can use solo, or add garment weight leather, the shoe can be as padded, embellished, or simple as you desire. The supply list will have all the materials and tools needed, with options for customization, to come prepared to make a comfortable pair of indoor shoes. Footwear artist and teacher Malika Green will guide you through every step of this calm and structured activity to embrace your winter joy. Make a pair for yourself that is just right, and gain the skills to make more!

Framingham - AstroNights LIVE: Mars 2021 Featuring May Nasr Fri, Feb 19, 7p via Zoom or YouTube. MOXIE (the Mars Oxygen ISRU Experiment) is an instrument aboard the Perseverance Rover, that was developed through a collaboration led by MIT. This month, just as the Perseverance Rover is wrapping up its interplanetary journey to Mars, we are joined by a member of the MOXIE Team. Hingham - Reindeer Quest Sat & Sun, through Feb 28. Grab your hiking boots, snowshoes or cross-country skis and get the family outside for this special South Shore Reindeer Quest! This self-guided scavenger hunt encourages visitors to scour the trails for herds of handmade, wooden reindeer at World’s End, Whitney & Thayer Woods and Weir River Farm in Hingham, the Norris Reservation in Norwell, and Two-Mile Farm in Marshfield. Reindeer are crafted by Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops, and hidden along the trails. Each one has a special personality, which visitors can discover by scanning a QR code.

From the peaks of the Rocky Mountains to the eruptive Geyser Basin, the landscape of Yellowstone is as dynamic as it gets. Zach will share his unique journey in Yellowstone deep into the off-season: March. With far fewer people accessing the park, and many of the roads closed, the North Entrance of Yellowstone is a great way to see wildlife close-up and experience winter ecology at its best.
