Welcome New 2025-2026 Teachers!
Justin Hager, 8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher
We are excited to welcome Justin back to the classroom, with a particular passion for teaching at the middle school level. Before relocating to Minnesota in 2019, Justin was an invested educator at The Fessenden School, a K–9 independent, junior-preparatory school in West Newton, Massachusetts. There, he served in multiple roles simultaneously, including Grade-Level Academic Dean, 8th English Teacher, dorm parent in the residential life program, and assistant coach of three athletic teams. Justin proclaims his teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop a strong foundation in the English language while emphasizing the promotion of independent thinkers.
Since moving to Minnesota, Justin has been a valued member of the faculty and administration at Saint Thomas Academy. He began his tenure as an Upper School English teacher before transitioning into administration, where he has served as Dean of Students for the past four years. A strong advocate and partner for faith-based education, Justin joins OLG as his third Catholic educational institution, having previously worked at the College of the Holy Cross and Saint Thomas Academy. Outside of school, Justin is an avid outdoorsman. He and his family make their home in Plymouth.
Katie Koppy, 3rd Grade Teacher
Ms. Koppy is coming to OLG from St. John’s in Little Canada where she has been teaching kindergarten for five years. At St. Johns she coordinates the yearbook and works in the after care program. Ms. Koppy has taught both Groves and Savaas science. Ms. Koppy graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from the College of Saint Benedict and later completed her Master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. She will be our 8th 'Katie' teaching on the elementary staff.
Kate Moch, K-4th Grades Music Teacher
Ms. Moch is coming to OLG from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she recently completed her Bachelor's degree in K-12 Music Education. Ms. Moch is originally from the Twin Cities area and is excited to be back in the community! In addition to student teaching and finishing school, Ms. Moch has been involved in various leadership roles for different clubs and activities including leading the worship team and a bible study for her campus ministry, choreographing and assistant music directing for the Denfield High School musical, and interning with the Lake Superior Youth Chorus in the Twin Ports area. Ms. Moch is absolutely thrilled to be able to combine her passions for teaching music and sharing Jesus' love with her students at OLG!
