Our Lady of Grace is again hosting the annual MN Nonpublic Accrediting Association (MNSAA) Conference for nonpublic schools throughout the state. There will be no school this day.
EVENTS 
The Upper Room for Grades 6-8 
Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15pm Starting 10/30
All 6-8th graders are invited to come grow in faith in a dynamic way on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15 pm in the newly remodeled Frassati Room (formerly called the Youth Room) starting October 30 with an All Saints Day party. Middle schoolers who have come to the Upper Room in the past say "it is fun and you feel closer to God," "I have learned that Jesus loves us no matter what," and "it's Jesus-friendly fun!" All Saints Day Mass
Thursday, November 1st at 10:15am 
Join the OLG School Community as we celebrate our All Saints Day Mass! This will feature our annual tradition of the Kindergarten Parade of Saints to begin our liturgy. There will be no all school Wednesday liturgy on 10/31.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are coming up soon! They are Nov 1st, 5th, 8th & 12th from 4-8pm.  Families register by completing the attached form ( word doc / PDF ). Please submit only one form per family to avoid duplication. Forms can be emailed to Linda Bakken, faxed to 952.929.8170 or brought in to the main office.

Parenting Talk: It's All About Emotions 
Monday, November 26th from 6:30-7:30pm 
What are developmentally appropriate emotional behaviors for your child and what is outside of typical development? How do our actions at home and at school impact our child's emotional life and long-term adjustment? This session will explore emotional life, how emotions can impede or enhance learning, and how to protect our children by helping them develop emotional resilience. Research from Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence will be discussed. The talk will take place in the new Mercy Music Loft. The talk will be given by Dr. Jules Nolan. RSVP HERE.  
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Junior Great Books!  
Junior Great Books is a national reading program led by parent volunteers and is open to students in grades 1 through 6.  The students meet weekly over lunch for six weeks.  This program gives kids an opportunity to explore, question and enjoy good literature. Junior Great Books exposes children to higher-level reading, vocabulary and comprehension. Participants are expected to read stories at home before weekly meetings. Included in the books are open-ended questions to stimulate discussion. The goal is to instill the love of reading in kids at an early age.  To learn more and to register please click here.

Lost & Found 
The lost and found items will be displayed from 11/5-11/16 and after that will be cleared out and donated to charity.   
Edina Bus Information  
The Edina Busses are not allowing any students to ride home on a different bus with a friend. Many busses are at capacity. If all students ride there will not be room for extra students.  If there is an emergency, please call the Edina Bus Garage and talk to them. Please also call the main office and make them aware of the emergency.

Deer Hearts Needed! 
As hunting season begins, 7 th  grade science is in need of deer hearts! Please tell the hunters in your life to save their deer hearts so the 7 th grade can experience an unforgettable lab as they learn about the structure and function of the heart. Hearts can be frozen in a Ziploc bag, and brought into Mrs. Rossow's room (503) at any time. Questions? carolinerossow@olgschool.net
Young Rembrandts Cartoon Class!
Does your child have a great sense of humor to compliment his or her artistic skills? If so, your child will LOVE a Young Rembrandts Cartoon class . In our goofy animal portraits, students will learn how to personify animals, transforming them into cartoon charac- ters. Discerning Our Call To Discipleship Continues 
By now each registered parish household should have received a Stewardship Renewal packet in the mail.  Please prayerfully review this material, take time to discern how the Lord is calling you, and return your Commitment Form during the special offering on COMMITMENT WEEKEND, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27 AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28. We encourage each member of the household to complete a commitment form. Additional forms may be downloaded from the parish website, www.olgparish.org. Click on About Us, Stewardship. Forms may also be returned by mail or in the offertory basket anytime during October. Together, in gratitude, let us become lights of the world (cf. Mt 5:14).
Moms of Grace Social!
