Barnes & Noble Book Fair
Sunday, December 2, 10a-6pm  
Please come to the B&N at the Edina Galleria to hear our school choirs, do some Christmas shopping and enjoy a few activities for the kids. We will have teacher lists available and a wrapping area too. A portion of all purchases (including those made at the restaurant) will benefit the OLG school library. Click here for the voucher.

Raising Tech Healthy Kids Talk 
Monday, December 3rd at 7pm  
Presenter, Dave Eisenmann, will be hosting an event called Proactive Parenting Workshop: Raising Tech Healthy Kids. Please join us for discussion around technology and our children in the Dining Room. Here is a description of his talk:

Tablets, Smartphones, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Fortnite, YouTube and more... Technology is a big part of our kids' world! Keeping up can be challenging, but a positive and well-informed approach can have a big impact on a child's future and habits. Learn how to help kids develop a balanced and healthy use of technology. Get tips and ideas for parenting and understand the significant role you play in helping youth be responsible and safe in today's high-tech world. The presentation is very engaging and highly visual with a lot of images and multimedia. Numerous ideas and free resources are shared and time for Q & A provided. Students in grades 4-8 will also here Dave speak the following day at school.

Santa's Secret Shop

If you still need to drop off your envelopes, please get it in first thing, Monday, December 3rd. We will open the sale to the parish on Friday, December 7th, please consider donating baked goods to that sale date (drop off items in the kitchen Thursday or Friday). 
Bean & Ro Shopping Event
Thursday, December 6th 5-8pm
Join us for a fun night shopping at Bean + Ro, co-owned by OLG parent Elissa Bean. Thank you to all who supported the EVEREVE event this week! The evening raised $8400 in sales, donating $1260 to OLG! 

Advent Day of Mercy 
Wednesday, December 12th 
We will have our annual Advent Day of Mercy on December 12, 2018 from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Students in grades 3-8 will participate with their classrooms throughout the day. Parishioners and families are welcome to come whenever. Free childcare will be available on a space available basis in the nursery for any child who has not yet celebrated her or his first reconciliation from 9 AM - 1 PM and 4 - 7:30 PM. Come receive the great gift of God's Mercy this Advent!

Kindergarten Registrations Due!
Friday, December 7th
If you have an incoming Kindergarten student, registration is due next Friday, December 7th. Registration forms can be picked up in the office or you can email Richelle Dudziak to have one sent home with your current student.

Snowbusters is an after school skiing and snowboarding opportunity available to our OLG students in Grades 3-8 at Hyland Hills Ski Area. Available on Mondays and/or Wednesdays, students have the option to rent equipment and take lessons
or just go out & ski or board with their friends. One-way busing is provided to Hyland Hills Ski Area. This year the program will run on the following dates:

Deer Hearts Needed! 
As hunting season begins, 7 th  grade science is in need of deer hearts! Please tell the hunters in your life to save their deer hearts so the 7 th grade can experience an unforgettable lab as they learn about the structure and function of the heart. Hearts can be frozen in a Ziploc bag, and brought into Mrs. Rossow's room (503) at any time. Questions? [email protected]
Week in Paradise Winner!
Thank you again to all who participated and supported OLG School during Give to the Max 2018! Our total is now near $105,000! Congratulations to Cathy & Pat Weiss who were the winners of Mrs. Trenary's Gratitude for Giving Challenge and now have a week at her condo in St. Thomas!

2019 Men's Club Gala Updates
This year's Gala will be held on February 9th, 2019 at the newly renovated Interlachen Country Club and tickets go on sale January 11th. Beyond attending, there are many ways to support the cause. The event sponsorship deadline is Monday, December 3rd - please contact Adam Groebner. Auction item donations can be made by contacting Cathleen Cachat before January 15th.
Finally, $20 Split the Pot raffle tickets are available now at the OLG Parish Office and this year's OLG Christmas Tree Lot.  Thank you in advance for your support and hope to see you there!

As you are baking your Christmas goodies, can you bake an extra dozen or two to share with the guests at Sharing and Caring Hands or Loaves and Fishes? The guests there really enjoy the treat of choosing a desert that is just for them. If you can bring some goodies, please bring them to the parish office by the end of the day on December 4th for Sharing and Caring Hands or by noon on December 12th. Thanks and Blessings for your willingness to make somebody's Christmas a little better.

Holy Family High School
Disney's The Little Mermaid
Holy Family Catholic High School in Victoria invites families to its theatre department's performances of "Disney's The Little Mermaid" musical on November 30, December 1, December 7, and December 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the HFCHS Performance Center. All seats are general admission and tickets are $5 at the door. Ticket sales open 30 minutes before the show.

Youth Fire Fan Night
Holy Family Catholic High School invites families to its Youth Fire Fan Night at Girls Hockey on Tuesday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. Students in grades K-8 receive free giveaway and concession treats. Free printable admissions ticket available here.
