COLD lunch ONLY days on Tuesday, January 29th and Wednesday, January 30th. Please pack a cold lunch for your child(ren) on those two days.
Also, a reminder the the Roller Garden does not have helmets available and students are encouraged to bring their own.

CSW Cub Scout Pancake Breakfast
THIS Sunday, January 27th, 8:15-1pm
Please join us this Sunday January 27th for the annual OLG Pack 102 Cub Scout pancake breakfast fundraiser to celebrate the start of Catholic Schools Week. The breakfast will be held in Cassidy Hall from 8:15am until 1pm. Tickets are $6. There will be plenty of delicious pancakes, great coffee, orange juice and butcher cut bacon. We hope you will join us!

Catholic Schools Week 2019

Let the celebration of Catholic Education begin! Come celebrate our Catholic School at one of the weekend masses, Saturday at 5 pm, Sunday 7:30am, 9:30 am, 11:30 am or 6 pm. The students will participate as lectors, singers and greeters. Student attire: Wear your school uniform and receive a no uniform day pass. Celebrate CSW With Peer Ministry
Each year during Catholic Schools Week the 8th grade Peer Ministry team sells something fun to celebrate our faith. For this year's Catholic Schools Week "Faith Sale" we will continue to sell temporary tattoos, rainbow gel pens, mini footballs, blinking bouncy balls, hackey sacks, and moon balls from previous years and new for this year:

Students (with parent permission of course) may purchase and wear the temporary tattoos anytime during Catholic Schools Week. Late Starts and School Closings
As we enter the coming cold weather, just a reminder that OLG School follows Edina Public Schools for any delayed start times, early dismissals or school closings due to weather. We will send an alert, email blast and post on the school website as soon as we are made aware of the change. For those families (grades 3-8) who access TeacherEase, feel free to double check your contact information in TeacherEase. These are the numbers and emails used to communicate during weather closings.

Get Involved in PSO in 2019-2020!
Session: February 12th at 10:30am
Please considering becoming involved in PSO in the 2019-2020 school year! Learn more about the many opportunities at an informational session on Tuesday, February 12th at 10:30am in the School Library. Current PSO chairs will be available to share their experiences and answer questions. PSO offers opportunities for parents to support our school in the daytime or evening, on site or remotely, and is a great way to connect with other OLG families.
Please also feel free to attend the February PSO meeting, which will be held at 9:30am that morning in the School Library.

2019-2020 Registration Process
Similar to last year
, for the 2019-20 school year, OLG School will be using a continuous enrollment model. This means that current K-7 students will be automatically enrolled for the upcoming school year unless a family contacts us by February
1st, 2019
. This model is recommended both by the Archdiocese and national Catholic school organizations.
If you have a K-7 child who will not be returning for the 2019-20 school year, please contact Mrs. Trenary by phone at 952.929.5463 ext 4.

Families are now able to apply for Financial Aid for the 2019-20 school year. OLG uses the TADS company to process financial aid applications.

Health Office Reminders
When should my child stay home?
In general, the following information is intended to help decide when a student should stay home:
*If a student has had a fever of 100 degrees or more, the student should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal without fever reducing medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
*If a student has vomited or had diarrhea, the student should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.
*If a student has had any rash that may be disease-related or the cause is unknown, check with your health care provider before sending the student to school.
*If a student is ill, please call the attendance line daily to report the illness. 952-929-5463 #9087
*When your child is sick, please pick them up as soon as possible and within 1 hour.
*It is best if parents have identification on your voicemail so that a message can be left.

Students from Kindergarten thru 5th Grade are welcome!
Join us in learning this National Award Winning Program for the third session of chess club meeting right after school on Thursdays in Cassidy Hall! Students of all levels are welcomed! Yes, even if your student does not know how to play, we will teach them! All learning is done with encouragement and fun in everything we do! Make new friends and see old ones! Optional outside of chess club tournament play information will be made available to students that are ready to compete. All in class equipment and a snack is provided. Summer Care Registration

Join the fun, excitement and learning this summer! The program dates are June 10th thru August 9th, 2019.
Daily activities include: science fun, cooking activities, outdoor games, arts and crafts and reading enrichment plus daily field trips! Our Lady of Grace Summer Care is for students of Our Lady of Grace School having been admitted into kindergarten through 8
th
grade.
Program fee will be $53.00 per student per day.

Men's Club Gala - SILENT AUCTION
We have had an incredible response to Gala ticket sales and the event is sold out. You can still participate in the silent auction beginning February 2nd - it will be open to the entire OLG community and all can participate whether attending the Gala or not. Moms of Grace Service Project
February 3rd at 10:30am
Have you wanted to participate in a meaningful service project with your family? A way to get together in a significant way with other families? Then please come to the Moms of Grace service project on Feb 3, around 10:30, after the 9:30 mass in Cassidy Hall. We will be organizing care packages to a local women's shelter for women and their children. Have your little ones write or decorate a card too! Refreshments will be provided.

Extreme Faith Camp is a week-long camp for students currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It is a life-changing experience. We spend the week with teens from 8 other Catholic parishes throughout the Archdiocese and have a blast with a variety of fun activities and we encounter Christ through the power of the Sacraments, challenging talks, and small group sharing. Join a Mothers of Young Children (birth through 5th grade) group as we seek to

The Aim Higher Foundation provides two scholarships for students to attend a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
