Lenten Soup Supper
March 29th at 6pm
Volunteers Still Needed!  
All school families are invited to participate in the Stations of the Cross on March 29th at 6:00pm. 
After the service, the school will host soup supper for the parish and school.  
Grades 3 & 6 will host and serve on March 29th. Thank you to these prayer buddies for providing the leadership for this event. Please sign up to help HERE (check the tab on the top to make sure it is the correct date)!  
Kids Social Fundraiser

Sunday, March 31st from 2-5pm (drop off) 
Join your friends and make new ones at our first ever OLG Student Fundraiser Social! 
-$30/kid ages 4 plus. Includes unlimited: jumping, laser tag, mini golf, bowling and unlimited game card (not avail for prizes; tickets will not dispense)
-250 kids max 1st come 1st serve
-5-6 parent volunteers will be helpful. They will have a full -Airmaxx staff will run everything. Parent volunteers are for extra hands on deck.

Our annual Sole Searching Shoe Drive for Sharing and Caring Hands sponsored by the Student Council is coming up! Students can bring in new or gently used shoes to their classrooms to donate. Donations will also be accepted at the Fish Fry!

Family Service Fair

Please Join us for the OLG Family Service Fair in the OLG Gymnasium! Stop by to participate in fun, simple hands-on projects that inspire compassion and generosity!

  • Pack hygiene kits for youth experiencing homelessness Decorate journals for children receiving counseling

Chess Club Session 4
Starts Thursday, April 4th
Join us in learning this National Award Winning Program for the fourth session of chess club meeting right after school on Thursdays in Cassidy Hall! Even if your student does not know how to play, we will teach them!  Make new friends and see old ones! Optional outside of chess club tournament play information will be made available to students that are ready to compete. All in class equipment and a snack is provided. Young Rembrandts - Cartoons!  
Does your child have a great sense of humor to complement his or her artistic skills? If so, your child will LOVE a Young Rembrandts Cartoon class. Our students will learn how to personify inanimate objects, as they breathe life into the sun and moon, transforming them into funny cartoon characters. A humorous bird feeding sequence will teach your child visual and sequential story telling. We'll also create drawings that feature colorful and expressive forest animals. Sign up your Middle School student for Extreme Faith Camp Now!
Mon-Friday, June 24-28,2019
Extreme Faith Camp is a week-long camp for students currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It is a life-changing experience. We spend the week with teens from 8 other Catholic parishes throughout the Archdiocese and have a blast with a variety of fun activities and we encounter Christ through the power of the Sacraments, challenging talks, and small group sharing. OLG Sparkle & Shine Committee!
The OLG Sparkle and Shine Committee needs your help! We will be getting together to "spruce up" the church for Easter, after the school Mass on April 10th. Parents are welcome to stay and help as long as their schedules allow. Refreshments will be provided. We are hoping to have the Nursery available  for little ones. League of Catholic Women Stations of the Cross

This Lent, get to know the Stations of the Cross. Join other women of faith in the Twin Cities to pray together and look at the Stations in a new way, not just what happened to Jesus two thousand years ago. Deepen your understanding of their power and relevance in your life today. Allow them to touch your heart this Lent. Experience a contemporary passion of Jesus and walk the Stations with our suffering brothers and sisters of our global community.

PCN Speaker: Diversity & Inclusion 
Monday April 1 from 7-9pm at Edina HS
Parent Communication Network is excited to announce its fifth and final speaker of the 2018/19 school year: Dr. Terrance Kwame-Ross, Associate Professor in the Education Department at Augsburg University. Additionally, Dr. Ross holds a Faculty-Lecturer position in the Youth Development Leadership (YDL) Graduate Program, School of Social Work, University of Minnesota. He enjoys working with adults in order to create developmentally appropriate, relevant and joyful learning environments and experiences where children and adolescents thrive and reach their full potential. Dr. Ross will be presenting: Diversity and Inclusion: Family Focused Strategies.
Reverse Rett Minneapolis 
April 4th at Edina Country Club 6:30-9:30pm 
Come support school and parish members whose sister was born with Rett Syndrome to raise funds for research to cure this disease. Rett Syndrome is a serious lifelong neurological disorder caused by random gene mutations found almost exclusively in girls. This is a fun, casual, cocktail party with auction items including a custom "She Shed" built by CityHomes and team signed Edina High School state champion girls and boys jerseys. Rec League (4th Grade through 9th Grade)
Rec League plays in the evening with the season  starting late-April and ending early-July.  Evaluations are April 7 between 8am-noon
Registration for Rec League closes April 6th.
 
Day Ball (Kindergarten through 3rd Grade) &  Pioneer (3rd and 4th Grade) Both of these programs are weekday mornings for  3 weeks in June and 3 weeks in July and include an  evening baseball event at Courtney Fields to end the season.
Registration for Day & Pioneer closes May 15th.

AHA Summer Experience Camps 
AHA will be hosting our annual Summer Experience Camps again this June. We have reduced prices this year and our schedule has been changed to allow kids to participate in multiple camps in one day. This is convenient for busy parents! Here is the link for available camps and registration information.
HFCHS Spring & Summer Camps 
Registration for Holy Family Catholic High School's Spring Middle School Track Clinic and summer youth camps is now open.   All athletic, arts, and academic camps are led by our varsity coaches and our licensed teachers. More information and registration available HERE.

Macalester Basketball Camps 
The Macalester College men's basketball team will hold a Youth Basketball Camp this summer. There will be two sessions: June 17-21 and Aug. 5-9. The camp is for boys in grades 4-8 and will focus on basketball skills, competitive games and character development.
Cost of the camp is $250 per session, which includes a t-shirt. A 10% discount is offered to those registering for both sessions.
