CSW Raffle Rescheduled!
Friday, February 8th at 9am
The raffle is an exciting and important part of Catholic Schools Week and will still happen! Students will be able to purchase tickets through next Thursday. Please follow the instructions for turning in raffle tickets.
Peer Ministry Faith Sale
Continues Through Tuesday, February 5th
Each year during Catholic Schools Week the 8th grade Peer Ministry team sells something fun to celebrate our faith. For this year's Catholic Schools Week "Faith Sale" we will continue to sell temporary tattoos, rainbow gel pens, mini footballs, blinking bouncy balls, hackey sacks, and moon balls from previous years and new for this year:
Fun, Cute, Squishy Holy Cows! 
Students (with parent permission of course) may purchase and wear the temporary tattoos anytime during Catholic Schools Week. Classroom rules for other items will be determined by each child's teacher. Designs, prices, safe temporary tattoo removal instructions, and pictures of this year's sale items can all be found here .

Join us for this special OLG tradition! Share 7:30am Mass with your child(ren), followed by coffee, donuts and breakfast snacks in the gym until 8:30am. Special relatives and friends are welcome. Suggested donation is $3/person at the gym entrance. Students must be accompanied by an adult at the breakfast. Register here by Friday, February 8th to help ensure accurate food count.

Make sure to capture the year with the 2018-19 OLG School Yearbook! All yearbooks must be purchased online by Sunday, February 3rd *Absolutely NO orders will be taken after February 3rd. This is the only yearbook sale of the year.*

2019-2020 Registration Process  
Notification Due TODAY, 2/1
Similar to last year , for the 2019-20 school year, OLG School will be using a continuous enrollment model. This means that current K-7 students will be automatically enrolled for the upcoming school year unless a family contacts us by February 1st, 2019 . This model is recommended both by the Archdiocese and national Catholic school organizations. If you have a K-7 child who will not be returning for the 2019-20 school year, please contact Mrs. Trenary by phone at 952.929.5463 ext 4. 
Valentines Needed 
Are you feeling creative? Are you a middle school student who needs service hours? Are you looking for something to do on a cold day? Sharing & Caring Hands is collecting Valentine's to put in treat bags that go out to homeless children in our community. Click here for more information about the program. Valentine's can be dropped off in the red box across from Ms. Harristhal's desk. They will be delivered on February 7th.  
Get Involved in PSO in 2019-2020!  
Session: February 12th at 10:30am
Please considering becoming involved in PSO in the 2019-2020 school year!  Learn more about the many opportunities at an informational session on Tuesday, February 12th at 10:30am in the School Library.  Current PSO chairs will be available to share their experiences and answer questions.  PSO offers opportunities for parents to support our school in the daytime or evening, on site or remotely, and is a great way to connect with other OLG families.  
 
Please also feel free to attend the February PSO meeting, which will be held at 9:30am that morning in the School Library.
Apply for Financial Aid 
Applications Due by February 17
Families are now able to apply for Financial Aid for the 2019-20 school year. OLG uses the TADS company to process financial aid applications. Here are instructions on how to apply. Here is a worksheet to help with preparing your application.
2019-20 OLG Academic Calendar 
HERE is the 2019-20 OLG Calendar at a glance. Some items to note:
-School start is before Labor Day.
-October 16th is a full release day (different than Edina).  
-Christmas vacation is two weeks.
-Last day for all grades is May 29th.
Lunch Account Notice 
Parents, please check your child(ren)'s lunch account! If you have previously been using PayPams prior to this year, you may have to create a new account. The accounts were wiped clean this summer. You may submit a payment by making a check out to ISD #273 and bringing it in to school, or by making a payment on PayPams. If you have any questions please reach out to Rikki Mortl. Thank you!

Summer Care Registration 
Open Feb 4th-28th 
Join the fun, excitement and learning this summer! The program dates are June 10th thru August 9th, 2019.
 
Daily activities include: science fun, cooking activities, outdoor games, arts and crafts and reading enrichment plus daily field trips! Our Lady of Grace Summer Care is for students of Our Lady of Grace School having been admitted into kindergarten through 8 th grade. Program fee will be $53.00 per student per day.
 
Complete this Registration Form . You need to choose which days of the week your child will be attending. You can sign your child up on a full-time basis for 5 days a week, or part- time for any combination of up to 4 days a week. Arrangements can be made to fit your family's schedules. A summer care packet will be sent out the first week in March.

Men's Club Gala
SILENT AUCTION OPENS 2/2
This year's Gala silent auction opens on February 2nd at 8am and the entire OLG community can participate whether attending the Gala or not. Funds raised will help update our school SmartBoard and network infrastructure. Item information and details on how to participate can be found here. The auction will close the night of the Gala on February 9th. Thank you in advance for your support!
Get Your Men's Club Split the Pot Raffle!
$20 Split the Pot raffle tickets are available in the OLG Parish Office and at Masses this weekend. Half the pot will go to the winner and half to the Men's Club Gala proceeds.   
Moms of Grace Service Project 
RESCHEDULED: April 7th at 10:30am 
Have you wanted to participate in a meaningful service project with your family? A way to get together in a significant way with other families? Then please come to the Moms of Grace service project on Feb 3, around 10:30, after the 9:30 mass in Cassidy Hall.  We will be organizing care packages to a local women's shelter for women and their children.  Have your little ones write or decorate a card too!  Refreshments will be provided.

Mon-Friday, June 24-28,2019
Extreme Faith Camp is a week-long camp for students currently in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It is a life-changing experience. We spend the week with teens from 8 other Catholic parishes throughout the Archdiocese and have a blast with a variety of fun activities and we encounter Christ through the power of the Sacraments, challenging talks, and small group sharing. Red Cross Blood Drive
Thursday, February 7th 
Our Lady of Grace is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive on Thursday, February 7th from 3 pm until 8 pm in Cassidy Hall. You can sign up online and entering OURLADYOFGRACE as the sponsor code or by contacting Melissa Miller at 952-929-3317 ext. 9040. Can't give blood, consider volunteering for a 1 or 2 hour shift, checking people in and helping them with snacks after they've donated. Thanks for selflessly helping to save lives. You will love "The Temperament God Gave You" small group!
Moms - Make time to learn about a topic that will benefit you in your role as a wife and mother! What is a temperament and how does it affect every relationship in your life?  Join a Mothers of Young Children (birth through 5th grade) group as we seek to understand the gifts God has given in each person's temperament and use this knowledge to unlock motivation, real communication and conflict resolution with our kids, spouses and coworkers. Let us know if you are interested in joining the Temperament God Gave You group that is starting this January at OLG!  Groups will be meeting 8 sessions, every other Tuesday, January - May . The morning group will meet 9:30-11:00 am and the evening group will meet from 7:00 - 8:30 pm in the Frassati Room. Childcare available. Save the Date - Roar VBS
July 22-26 2019
Every day at Roar Totally Catholic VBS, kids will learn simple Bible points and be immersed in new adventures as they travel through field-tested rotations. Together, w e will explore God's goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers us all through this "wild" life. Just as our church and school buildings will be transformed into an African savanna full of vibrant colors and untamed grasslands, so too will the lives of all who join us be transformed as we learn to follow Jesus more closely!

Aim Higher Scholarships  
Families Can Apply Until February 17th
The Aim Higher Foundation provides two scholarships for students to attend a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The application period for scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year closes February 17, 2019. We aim to award the scholarships and notify families and schools by March 13, 2019. Thank you to all who braved the cold and joined us for our annual pancake breakfast fundraiser last Sunday to celebrate the start of Catholic Schools Week. It was wonderful to gather as a Parish community for some delicious food and fellowship and your support of the Pack is greatly appreciated. We hope to see you again next year!
