Middle School Laptop Presentation Makeups 
Tuesday, September 4th at 7:45am 
The laptop presentation make-up session will be on the first day of school at 7:45 a.m. in Ms. Johnson's classroom (upper level of Middle School). Both students and a parent need to attend. It will last about 30 minutes.  
8th Grade Kickball Party  
Wednesday, Sept 5th from 5:30-7:30pm
8th Grade Families mark your calendar for the annual 8th grade
Kick Ball Party and Dinner Party. This is such a fun event that you will not want to miss! It is a great way to start off the year for both parents, kids, teachers and our Priests as well. Festivities will start on the softball field at 5:30pm! We will move into Cassidy Hall for Pizza, Salad and Cake after the big game is over. Dismissal Time 2018-19
Carpool and Eden Prairie/Bloomington bus dismissal will be at 3:15pm this year. Last year, carpool was dismissed at 3:10pm. Edina bus dismissal will remain the same and depends on when they arrive from Normandale (between 3:20-3:25pm).

How About A NUD on Your Birthday?! green-blue-balloons.jpg
NEW this year! Students (and teachers) can now enjoy a No Uniform Day on their birthday! If they have a summer birthday, they can use their birthday NUD on their half birthday. If their birthday falls on a weekend or break, they can select the closest school day before or after the break that they prefer. If their birthday falls on a Mass day, they CAN use their birthday NUD. Other NUD passes cannot be used on Mass days. This NUD birthday celebration will begin on the second day of school. Here is the No Uniform Day (NUD) Policy as a reference. 
OLG Spirit Wear
Available Until 9/10 
Order Spirit Wear! All purchases for Spirit Wear need to be done via the Online Store (see link below). There will be an opportunity to try on the Uniform Approved Sweatshirt during orientation
next week (see us in the gymnasium). In addition, we will have limited attire, Bernies, as well as coffee/water bottles for purchase. Once the store closes, orders cannot be placed until we open "the store" again in October. So please plan accordingly. We anticipate it will take up to 4 weeks to fulfill all orders placed during registration. All orders will be delivered directly to your child's

Health Office Volunteers Needed!
Interested in helping or donating to the Health Office?  We are looking for one volunteer for each trimester to assist our school nurse AND we  are also looking for several donations to stock the health office. Click HERE to help out.
Library Volunteer Spots Still Available! 
We still have a few spots available for library volunteers!  The following classes need one more parent for the first trimester...White, Holtz, Foley, Scott.  We still need three volunteers for Mr.Schmidt's class! This is a great opportunity to spend time with your kids, and they love having you.  If you have already volunteered for another trimester, feel free to sign up. OLG School Calendars
You can now easily add all OLG School events to your Google Calendar, Outlook or iCal. Navigate to the Calendar on our webpage and select the iCal Button on the upper left corner of the calendar. This will give you the url you need for any of those calendar platforms. Also, If you have not already, make sure you add the dates from the 2018-19 Release Day Calendar to your calendar.
Health Office Reminders  
FORMS: Immunization records for K, new and before starting 7th grade can be turned in now if up to date. (Immunization records for other grades will not be kept) Annual Health Information records can be turned in anytime - these are for all grades. It would be best if you can email forms to Sheri at  
Transportation Reimbursement
Due by Wed, Sept 12th
ALL families that live outside the Edina School District #273, are eligible for a monetary refund BUT you must fill out the Reimbursement Form to get it. Please fill out this form once PER child. The correct response to question 4B is NO and 4C is YES. NOTE : Bloomington Families must ALSO fill out this additional Bloomington Form in order to receive any payment. If you have any questions,

This Fall - Cub Scouts Open to Boys and Girls!
Cub Scouts has long been a popular program at OLG with many involved families and unique adventures. Beginning this Fall, boys AND girls are welcome to participate in Cub Scouts beginning anytime in 1st through 5th grades. Dens in each grade level will be boys-only or girls-only.  The program at each grade level is the same for all and everyone will be part of OLG Pack 102. If you and your 1st through 5th graders would like to learn more about Cub Scouts at OLG, please join us on Tuesday 9/18 at 6:30pm in Cassidy Hall to learn more and join the Pack.
