First Lego League Robotics
Organizational Meeting - Monday, 9/10, 7:15am
There will be an organizational meeting on Monday, Sept. 10th at 7:15am in Mr. Benson's classroom for all students interested in competition robotics. First LEGO League challenges students to think like scientists and engineers. During the "Into Orbit" season, our team(s) will choose, and solve a real-world problem in the Project. Students will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot, using LEGO MINDSTORMS technology, to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FLL (First LEGO League), signature set of Core Values. Schools in attendance will be: Benilde-St. Margaret, Holy Angels, DeLaSalle, St. Thomas Academy, Providence Academy, Holy Family, Visitation and Chesterton Academy. You will have the chance to visit with staff and students from each school and learn more about our wonderful Catholic High Schools!

Lunch Account - PayPAMS Update
PayPAMS for OLG School is now up and running. Families who already had an OLG account, should be able to log back in, see your child's balance and add money if you wish. New OLG families will need to create an account. Head to
and choose "sign up now". Follow the prompts to set up your account. When asked to enter your child's Student ID, enter the pin number they use at school. If you or they do not yet know their pin number, they can ask the lunch staff to write it down for them on Monday. Lunch money can be deposited online or children can still bring checks to school written to ISD 273.
Dismissal Time 2018-19
Carpool and Eden Prairie/Bloomington bus dismissal will be at 3:15pm this year. Last year, carpool was dismissed at 3:10pm. Edina bus dismissal will remain the same and depends on when they arrive from Normandale (between 3:20-3:25pm).
How About A NUD on Your Birthday?!
NEW this year! Students (and teachers) can now enjoy a No Uniform Day on their birthday! If they have a summer birthday, they can use their birthday NUD on their half birthday. If their birthday falls on a weekend or break, they can select the closest school day before or after the break that they prefer. If their birthday falls on a Mass day, they CAN use their birthday NUD. Other NUD passes cannot be used on Mass days. This NUD birthday celebration will begin on the second day of school. Here is the

Men's Club Fall Kick-Off
Monday, Sept 17th at 6:30pm
The OLG Men's Club is kicking off the 2018-2019 season on Monday, September 17th. All men of OLG are invited and encouraged to participate in the Fall Kickoff where you'll be treated to a tailgate dinner and learn what the year ahead holds for the men of OLG in terms of spiritual, service and social endeavors. A great opportunity to learn where you can plug in and watch some Monday Night Football! The event starts at 6:30PM on the 17th in Cassidy Hall and is free of charge.
This Fall - Cub Scouts Open to Boys and Girls!

Cub Scouts has long been a popular program at OLG with many involved families and unique adventures. Beginning this Fall, boys AND girls are welcome to participate in Cub Scouts beginning anytime in 1st through 5th grades. Dens in each grade level will be boys-only or girls-only. The program at each grade level is the same for all and everyone will be part of OLG Pack 102. If you and your 1st through 5th graders would like to learn more about Cub Scouts at OLG, please join us on Tuesday 9/18 at 6:30pm in Cassidy Hall to learn more and join the Pack.

Want to go deeper in your relationship with Jesus and his Church, but need help? Want to take that next step, or steps, in your spiritual life? If so, then Acts 29 may be perfect for you! Acts 29 is a formation process designed to help you go deeper and take that next spiritual step. Acts 29 had three modules: Sow, Grow, and Go. Each module lasts seven weeks, concluding with a retreat. All live sessions are held Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. Daytime groups are also being formed. Retreat times are TBD.
