City Council Meeting
8:00 p.m. City Council Redistricting - Public Hearing - Materials will be available in English and Spanish
The City of Morgan Hill is launching its redistricting process, with the first of four public hearings scheduled with a time certain start of 8:00 p.m. The City initially launched its by-district elections in 2017. All municipalities are required to make adjustments to their district lines after the release of the recent Census data to reflect how local populations have changed.
This year, the release of the Census data has been delayed by several months due to the coronavirus pandemic. Members of the Morgan Hill community are invited to participate in this year’s unique redistricting process to help make sure district lines respect neighborhoods, history, and geographical elements. September 17 Deadline to Apply
The Superior Court of California, County of Santa Clara, is now accepting applications for service on the 2022 Santa Clara County Civil Grand Jury.
Residents who have lived in the county for at least one year, are United States citizens, and are at least 18 years of age may apply for service. The Court is seeking applicants of all backgrounds who are willing to make the commitment of a one-year term, beginning on January 3, 2022.
The deadline to apply for consideration for service is Friday, September 17, 2021. Individuals interested in applying may contact Britney Huelbig, Deputy Manager of the Civil Grand Jury, at 408-882-2721 or CGJ@scscourt.org. Visit the Court's website or view the application.

Morgan Hill has several Sister Cities in which we foster connections between cities, countries, or states based on shared similarities that expand knowledge and resources for each city. We currently host relationships with San Casciano, Italy; Seferihisar, Turkey; Ameca, Mexico, Mizuho, Japan; and Headford, Ireland.

Rental Assistance and Housing Support Programs
State Program: Rent Relief for Renters & Landlords
The State has extended its rent relief program. Qualifying renters and landlords are eligible for 100 percent of rent and utilities owed, even if they already participated in the 80 percent program. This program will also cover relocation costs and many other housing costs. Full program details and the application in different languages are available.
Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System
Rental assistance is available for extremely low-income residents who need help paying rent. Eligible residents will receive assistance to help pay rent and may also qualify for additional funds to meet other basic needs. The amount of assistance will be determined based on the individual household situation and funding availability. View the flyer for eligibility requirements and more information.
