Summer Isn't Over!
With local schools back in session, it may feel like summer is drawing to a close. No, not yet! There are a number of summer fun activities still in the works for the last few weeks before fall. Catch them before it's too late:

  • Outdoor Movies at the Morgan Hill Downtown Amphitheater, ending Sept. 1
  • Part-time jobs, including swim instructors, swim coaches, and life guards, still available with the City's recreation team, and other part- and full-time jobs throughout various departments
  • Training class available in the second weekend in Sept. for all swim-related positions
  • Putt-putt mini golf course in Downtown Morgan Hill through September
  • Bicycling around town on local paths and trails, take the Safety Pledge before you go

November 6-7 FREE Event

The Morgan Hill Open Studios (MHOS) is excited to announce its first open studio event, November 6-7, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The event is a free opportunity for the public to meet local artists, participate in live art demonstrations, and view and purchase artists' works. If you are an artist interested in showcasing your work in our open studio event, visit the MHOS website to learn how to register.

The MHOS is a collaboration with the City of Morgan Hill's Library Culture and Arts Commission and operates as a non-profit under the Morgan Hill Community Foundation

Gavilan College Free Drive-Thru Food Distribution
5055 Santa Teresa Blvd, Gilroy, CA 95020

On the 1st Tuesday and 3rd Thursday every month, drive-thru food distribution is available in the Gavilan College Gilroy Campus in Parking Lot A (North Entrance). See times and details, plus register online at www.gavilan.edu/foodpantry.
Rental Assistance and Housing Support Programs

Santa Clara County Housing Help
Santa Clara County organizations Project Sentinal and the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley provide services for those in need of housing help. View the flyer for information regarding services available.

State Program: Rent Relief for Renters & Landlords
The State has extended its rent relief program. Qualifying renters and landlords are eligible for 100 percent of rent and utilities owed, even if they already participated in the 80 percent program. This program will also cover relocation costs and many other housing costs. Full program details and the application in different languages are available.

Santa Clara County Homelessness Prevention System
Rental assistance is available for extremely low-income residents who need help paying rent. Eligible residents will receive assistance to help pay rent and may also qualify for additional funds to meet other basic needs. The amount of assistance will be determined based on the individual household situation and funding availability. View the flyer for eligibility requirements and more information.
