Hello Morgan Hill!
Rotary Galvan Park Restoration Project

Recently the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill hosted Rotarians from the Area 6 Clubs, El Toro Boys and Girls Club staff, and other community members to clean up Galvan Park. The work consisted of picking up trash, distributing mulch for weed control, and painting benches and trash cans. The Rotary Club of Morgan Hill has adopted the park and will continue maintaining it once a month. Thank you, Rotary! Read more about the project.
Updated Irrigation Schedule

At the June 16 City Council Meeting, the City of Morgan Hill declared a Level 2 Water Supply Shortage effective immediately. The declaration comes on the heels of the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board’s announcing a water shortage emergency impacting the entire county.

Typical lawn and garden bed sprinkler irrigation is now limited to:
  • Mondays and Thursdays for ODD numbered addresses and properties with no address
  • Tuesdays and Fridays for EVEN numbered addresses
  • Irrigation shall only be scheduled before 9 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
  • Prevent runoff in any watering cycle
  • Each valve or zone shall run for a maximum of 15 minutes in any one day

For businesses, limits now exist on automatically serving water at restaurants, hotels offering guests the option to decline daily linen service, and construction sites using non-potable water for most site activities.

The City of Morgan Hill has a long history of leadership in ensuring that water is used efficiently. To see the current water use rules and regulations, go to our Rules and Regulations page or read the complete Water Waste Ordinance No. 2236 (PDF). To report any water waste that you may observe, use this form.

Virtual Town Hall - Water Conservation
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

As we know, California is experiencing a drought, and imported water deliveries to Santa Clara County have been reduced. As a result, our region’s water supplier, Valley Water, has asked the City to reduce water use. In response, the Morgan Hill City Council declared a Level 2 Water Supply Shortage on June 16, 2021.

We invite you to join us for a Virtual Town Hall meeting to learn more about:

  • Exactly where Morgan Hill's water comes from?
  • What a Level 2 Water Supply Shortage means?
  • How growth in Morgan Hill relates to water usage?
  • What rebates and other assistance are available to support residents and businesses in reducing their water use?

You can participate in the virtual Town Hall Meeting at https://bit.ly/Communitytownhall or by calling 669-900-9128 and entering the webinar id: 828 0731 9295#.

We hope you will join us for this important conversation.
