“Go Green” on Butterfield Corridor
Hello Morgan Hill! We can now "Go Green” on Butterfield! The City has recently taken measures to optimize and improve traffic flow on the Butterfield Corridor by installing new signal controllers. Signal optimization has been implemented during peak travel times: Monday through Friday between
6:00 - 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
If you regularly use Monterey Road to travel north and south through the City, we encourage you to give Butterfield a try over the next few weeks. The goal is to make Downtown safer and improve travel times for drivers.

City of Morgan Hill Redistricting
Following the City Council's action reaffirming the adoption of Map 103 noting its intention to protect communities of interests, plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against the City challenging Map 103, alleging that the map was not legal and did not meet the requirements of the FAIR MAPS Act.
At a court hearing on May 9, 2022, the presiding judge determined that Map 103 was not legal due to a lack of compliance with the contiguity requirement and directed the City Council to select a map that met the Fair Maps Act criteria.
On May 18, 2022, the City Council held a public hearing to comply with the court order and adopted Resolution 22-035 selecting map NDC Green as the new district map for City Council elections. The map is also visible on the City's Redistricting webpage.

Valley Water to Begin Taking Action Against Water Wasters
Beginning June 1, Valley Water will begin directly enforcing its recently adopted water waste ordinance. The new ordinance is specifically focused on irrigation and is consistent with the City of Morgan Hill’s Water Waste Ordinance. You can view the City’s ordinance, watering restrictions, along with information on how you can help conserve water on the City's Water Conservation Webpage.
In Morgan Hill, typical lawn and garden bed sprinkler irrigation is now limited:

- Mondays and Thursdays for ODD numbered addresses and properties with no address
- Tuesdays and Fridays for EVEN numbered addresses
(2) Irrigation shall only be scheduled before 9 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
(3) Irrigation systems must prevent runoff in any watering cycle
