A/V Help Needed!
We are in need of additional A/V helpers on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

If you are able to help occasionally (or often!), please email Jordy Anderson.
Welcome Jordy Anderson!

We are delighted to announce that after serving as our interim A/V tech, Jordy Anderson has agreed to stay on as our A/V Tech Specialist. Please extend a warm welcome to him in his new role at Advent!
Midday Chapel Service
during Advent
Wednesdays at 12:00
Please join us each Wednesday in Advent for a reflective, prayerful service beginning, December 1 followed by December 8, 15, and 22.
Please plan to stay for Soup Luncheon provided by LuAnn following the service.

All are welcome at Thanksgiving Eve service
and pie social!
Please join us for our Thanksgiving Eve service, Wednesday November 24 at 6:30 pm, followed by a coffee hour and pie social. Advent will be providing the pies and refreshments this year, so no need to bring anything to share. We will be looking for some volunteers to help with worship, serving and cleanup, so please look for that sign-up. We look forward to sharing this thoughtful worship and warm fellowship to get you started on your weekend of gratitude.

If you are able to help with worship or the pie social please sign up today!
Advent Pandemic Preparedness Plan
Please take a look at Advent's updated Pandemic Preparedness Plan.
Thank you Gardeners!
We are so grateful for our gardeners, Dian & Gary Walker and Karen & Lorin Maenke!
They have recently spent hours clearing the gardens in preparation for winter after a beautiful spring, summer, and fall of gorgeous and perfectly tended floral abundance!

Advent Wreath Making

Join us to make rustic Advent wreaths that you can use year after year or give as a gift!
This takes the place of Family Sunday school and Adult Forum.
Creative volunteers needed for baptism blankets
Advent is looking forward to a number of baptisms in the coming weeks, and we will soon need to restock our handmade baptism blankets, which we give as gifts to the baptism families. Advent will supply the yarn for the blankets, we just need volunteers who can knit or crochet these special gifts. If you are interested in helping with this project, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Betsy Cardinal.

Gift of Love
September - December
Osseo Area Schools Homeless Student Program

Do you wonder about the impact your Gift of Love is having? “Last year a woman took in her nieces because their mom passed and she was working 3 jobs and feeding 5 kids and she never wanted to be someone who takes help because she can do it on her own, but broke down when we helped with food and supplies because she realized she said she put her pride aside and knew the children needed this and she couldn’t provide at this time.”

There are hundreds of school children in the Osseo Area School District that qualify as homeless and receive support services through the Osseo Area Schools Homeless Student Program. The objective of this program is to ensure homeless and highly mobile students have the same access to opportunities in getting an education, which can be foundational to future stability. This includes helping to meet basic needs when needed, which was especially true last school year.

Our Gift of Love will help bring supplemental support to this program. Please prayerfully consider your monetary donation to the Gift of Love and the Osseo Area Schools Homeless Student Program during these months.
Beginning Sunday November 21st through Sunday December 12th we will be having a drive to collect children size boots and $10-$20 gift cards. Boots in any children size are needed. Suggestions for gift cards include food or gas.
Prayer is our personal connection with God and guides us individually and as a church. It is a vital part of our faith life, and an important way we can continue to minister to one another in this time of social distancing. We know that God hears our prayers and will empower us to see God’s will in our lives!

Pray for our church and our world this week: for our community as we celebrate worship back in the sanctuary; for doctors and nurses as they work to control the Delta variant; for all of us as we work to continue to stay safe during this time in the pandemic; thanks for our ability to gather, learn, and serve together in person again; for our community as we seek ways to live justly and safely together, for all people on our weekly prayer list:
Jeff D., Jan N., Mary B., Mark P., Connie S., Sharon L., Barb, McKenzie, Cory, Julie, Jeni F., Deanna G., Dave C., Kim T., Charlotte G., Pat D., Pat E., Gary W., Linda G., Kathy J., Mary Lou M., Hoyt & Millie L., Brian B., Sue D., Pettie B., Rick D., and for all to be blessed by the Holy Spirit's faith.

(Due to privacy concerns and internet safety protocol, we cannot publish last names.) For confidential prayer requests, you may leave a private voice mail by calling 763-425-4243 and pressing “2” when the answering machine picks up. You can also e-mail our Prayer Chain leaders.
Pastoral Care - Easy to Schedule!

We have an easy way to request an appointment for a one-on-one conversation with a pastor. Simply go to You will see a request form. Fill in the requested information and select a time, and one of the pastors will reach out to confirm the appointment with you.

In the case of an emergency:

** Call the church office.

** In the event the church office is closed, please call the church office, 763-425-4243, and you will be directed to a way to reach a pastor.
