Family Holiday Paint Night

FINAL DAYS TO SIGN UP!



Paint the season merry and bright as you create a festive masterpiece! Choose from four adorable painting options.


All ages are welcome. Enjoy pizza and drinks on us!


Children 5 and under will need adult supervision. Adults are welcome to paint as well!


The cost is $20/painting, and 10% is being donated back to Gloria Dei! There is a 50% discount available if needed.

Geared to students in grades 4–8, but all are welcome!


A supportive and relaxed space to tackle schoolwork with some friends, with snacks provided to keep everyone fueled up.


Elizabeth Anastasio will be there to help out and to answer questions - math and science are her specialty - so students can get extra assistance while they work.


With a background in meteorology and education, Elizabeth brings a life-long love of math and a passion for finding new and relatable ways to explain math concepts.

Kevin's Koats Coat Collection

Now through Friday, November 14


Donations of new or gently worn coats for men, women and children are being collected in a drop off bin just inside the main Founders Way entrance by the food pantry shelves.


Bring your donations with you to church on Sunday, or bring them to the church office during the week between 10am and 2pm.


Kevin's Koats is one of the outreach missions of The Kevin From Heaven Foundation (KFH). The Foundation’s mission is to honor Kevin Flach, and his parents’ wishes, by providing assistance to those who are facing life altering events and who require assistance in overcoming the challenges they face.


Kevin was a student of Preschool Director, Melissa Whitman, so this foundation holds a special place in her heart. Gloria Dei Preschool has partnered with the KFH Foundation in getting to their goal of helping as many families as they can!

Tai Chi - weekly on Saturdays

Saturday, November 15

9am on the back deck


Tai Chi is a centuries old form of gentle exercise, good for all ages. The practice requires no prior experience, just wear loose clothing and shoes appropriate to exercise in.


You need not attend every week, but best progress is made the more you practice.

Join us for worship as Pastor Brendan continues his sermon series on Living a Generous Life.


8:30am in the Chapel with piano, hymns, a message, and Communion served weekly.


10am in the Sanctuary & online with praise music, a message, and Communion served the first Sunday each month. Sunday School (K-5) and Toddler Room (Pre-K & younger) is available during this service. Families may also make use of the Prayground in the Sanctuary as well as the Activity Bags hanging on the back pew.

Scams are becoming more frequent and far more sophisticated, targeting people through phone calls, text messages, email, social media, and even in-person contact.


In this Lunch & Learn, Detective Daniel will share real examples, common red flags, and simple steps to help you protect your personal information and finances.


This session will give you the tools to recognize a scam before you become a victim and stay one step ahead of fraudsters.

The Endowment Fund distributes grants each year for religious, educational, and other charitable purposes.


The Board will consider one-time grants to congregants and seminary students for continuing education as well as grants to local, regional, and international nonprofit organizations whose missions and values are aligned with those of Gloria Dei Church.

Congregational Meeting

Sunday, November 9


Thank you all for attending the Congregational Meeting after worship on Sunday, November 9, and to all those who brought desserts to share.


Church Council elections were held. Congratulations to:

  • Elizabeth Anastasio, Michael McNulty-Bobholz, Joann Simon, and Suzy Troemel on their re-election
  • Ginny Duffy, Leo Henrysen, Paul Hrynko, & Bruce Joss on being elected
  • And thank you to Dave Blanton, Dawn Frank, Gail Huber, & JoAnne Monahan for serving on Church Council these past several years.


We also approved a Resolution authorizing Church Council, working with the Property Team, to list and sell the 555 Welsh Road property. Click HERE to read the Resolution. During this meeting, it was made known that the Gloria Dei owned burial plots will continue to be offered to the congregants through the end of this fiscal year - June 30, 2026. If you are interested, please contact Paul Mac Donald at macdonpaul@comcast.net. Plots are located at: Forest Hills Cemetery, George Washington Memorial Park, Hillside Cemetery, Sunset Memorial Park, & Whitemarsh Memorial Park.


Also discussed was the transition from prayer shawls to prayer blankets and baby blankets. A blanket is much more versatile in its use. If you know someone who recently had a baby or who is need of a prayer blanket, please contact the church office at gdcoffice@gloriadei.com.
