Many thanks to Dot Hall, her hardworking committee and the capable and amicable cadre of servers for the festive, delicious, thoroughly enjoyable tea last Sunday.
A Mother's Day Prayer
Almighty God, bless all mothers, especially those who nurse and care for children. Give them patience and wisdom. Sustain them in gentleness and grace. Deepen the tenderness of their affections. Affirm them in the nobility of their calling. May our children always find in the embrace of mothers an outward and visible sign of your never-failing love and care. And through the love of our mothers, may we all feel the warmth of your tender mercies and know the constancy of your unconditional love; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Evening Prayer and Mid-week Holy Eucharist will
not be held this week.

Our Confirmation Candidates
Prayer for our Confirmation Candidates
Lord, you sent out your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in you. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to your voice. Open their hearts to your Spirit and bring to fulfillment the good work that you have begun in them. As we prepare these children for Confirmation, make each of us an instrument of your love. Teach us to appreciate what is holy in others, and to be patient with what we do not understand. Deepen our faith in the Gospel and help us to pass it on by our example. We pray that you will continue to guide us and sustain us.
Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Confirmands, Parents and Sponsors Reminder
We have a tentative booking at Christ Church at 10:00 am on May 11 for a tour of the church and cemetery. The time can be adjusted. We would carpool, leaving Redeemer about 9:15 or later if we adjust the time. Time there would be about 45 minutes. We would then stop somewhere for lunch and come back to Redeemer by about 1:00. Parents and mentors are invited. Please inform mentors who do not have emails. Please let me know if you want to go and whether you are willing to drive. Vans with extra seating will receive priority.

Altar Flower Dedications
Sponsoring our Sunday altar flowers is a great way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, remember a loved one who has passed, or mark any other special occasion. The suggested donation is $20 per arrangement, which offsets the cost of the flowers provided by Leary's Florist. If you wish to sponsor the flowers, please submit your name and preferred wording of the dedication to
or in a note placed in the offering plate.
Things To Be Done Around Redeemer Notebook
If you notice something that needs attention around the campus (i.e. leaky toilet, broken light, etc.), please record it in the black & white
notebook in the Property Team's mailbox outside the church office.
Gift of Angels
There are expenses that pop up that are not included in our annual operating budget, and this program covers those.
Your gift to the Gift of Angels program can be in the form of a monetary donation or a gift-in-kind and can be made in thanksgiving or in memory of someone. It can cover all or part of an item on the wish list. All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive recognition of your gift, and all gifts are recorded in our Book of Memorials and Gifts.
The Wish List currently includes: weed control supplies, floor buffer and pads and chairs for the Parish Hall.
Please make checks payable to Church of the Redeemer and designate Gift of Angels or your specific designation on the memo line.
Your consideration of support for this campaign is greatly appreciated!

The goal is to make each patient's room a calm environment while addressing the psycho-social and spiritual needs of patients and their families. They are seeking donations of prayer books and small bibles, religious items such as rosaries or icons; 3' x 4' blankets which are placed on the patients and taken home by the family after their loved one passes away. If you wish to help, please contact Stefanie McMahon at firstname.lastname@example.org or (484) 227-3240.
