WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
December 28, 2018 - January 3, 2019
In This Issue:
Sunday Service
Single Service: 10:30am

The Art of Renewal
Carter Smith, Guest Minister

This service will be led by Carter Smith, lifelong Community Church member and first-year seminarian at Harvard Divinity School. She will talk about the importance of ritual and reflection to mark the passing of the year, or other moments of transition in life. How can we use these in-between moments to take stock of where we are and move forward with renewed meaning and intentionality?
MUSIC NOTES This Sunday, the Community Church Singers will sing songs reflecting on the passing of the year in different ways. "Seasons of Love" looks back, asking us to "celebrate, remember the year in the life of friends." And Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror," led by soloist Bianca Rodriguez, looks forward, stating "if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change." Alan Reece will provide improvisational piano music for Gathering Music.
PARKING is available at The Community Church, as well as alternate parking options . Click here for a map.
Parking is not allowed at the Kehillah across the street.
Message from the Minister

Rev. Thom is experimenting with making weekly videos previewing the Sunday worship service and talking about other things that may be of interest to members of the church. Here's this week's video introducing Carter Smith's service on
The Art of Renewal and the process of becoming a Unitarian Universalist minister.
