"Don’t Bag or Tie Recyclables!

Place all recyclables loose in your curbside bin. Do not bag them in plastic or tie them with twine or string, as these materials can jam machines and disrupt the recycling process. Large rigid plastics, such as oversized toys, laundry baskets and storage containers, are not accepted in curbside recycling."

Health Corner

Improving sleep quality can make a huge difference in your daily life! Here are some tips to help you get a better night's rest:

  1. Stick to a sleep schedule: Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends. Consistency helps regulate your body's internal clock.
  2. Create a bedtime routine: Develop a relaxing pre-sleep ritual. This could include reading a book, taking a warm bath, or practicing deep breathing exercises. Avoid stimulating activities like using electronic devices.
  3. Optimize your sleep environment: Make sure your bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet. Consider using blackout curtains, earplugs, or a white noise machine if needed. A comfortable mattress and pillows can also make a big difference.
  4. Limit caffeine and alcohol: Avoid consuming caffeine and alcohol in the hours leading up to bedtime. They can disrupt your sleep cycle and make it harder to fall asleep.
  5. Be mindful of your diet: Try not to eat large, heavy meals right before bed. If you're hungry, opt for a light snack that won't upset your stomach.
  6. Get regular exercise: Engaging in regular physical activity can help you fall asleep faster and enjoy deeper sleep. However, try to avoid vigorous exercise close to bedtime.
  7. Manage stress and anxiety: Practice stress-reducing techniques such as meditation, yoga, or journaling to help calm your mind before bed.
  8. Limit naps: While naps can be beneficial, excessive or late-afternoon naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. Aim for shorter naps earlier in the day.
  9. Consider your sleep position: Experiment with different sleep positions to find the one that feels most comfortable and supports good alignment of your spine and neck.
  10. Seek professional help: If you've tried these tips and still struggle with sleep, consider consulting a healthcare professional. They can help identify any underlying issues and recommend appropriate treatments.

Remember, finding what works best for you may take some time and experimentation. Sleep well!
