Join Festival Choir For Holy Week Worship
On behalf of St. Luke's Choir, we would like to extend an invitation for you to join us as we create a Festival Choir for Holy Week worship. Adding singers like you allows more depth and volume to our choir anthems, which will range from majestic (Palm Sunday) to sorrowful (Good Friday) to jubilation (Easter Sunday) - all in one week's time. We would love to have you join us on this musical and emotional rollercoaster.
What time commitment would it mean for you? The easy answer is - we will take anything your time and availability allows. Here is what the schedule would look like:
Rehearsals
Festival choir rehearsals begin on Wednesday, March 4th immediately after the Lenten Evening Worship (approximately 7:35 PM) and continue each Wednesday (Mar 4, Mar 11, Mar 18, Mar 25, April 1) until Holy Week. I will try keeping rehearsals to one hour, but we may need to go later on some Wednesdays.
Worship
Festival Choir will sing on:
Palm Sunday, March 29th at the 8:30 AM Worship
Good Friday, April 3rd at both the 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM Worship
Easter Sunday, April 5th at the 8:30 AM Worship
We know you may not be able to commit to all of the above but know that you are welcome no matter how much time you can give us. Contact Patrick Lair: patrickl@stlukesbloomington.org

Looking for a great volunteer opportunity? Ushers needed now!
Ushers needed for the months of March and June for 8:30 AM worship, and June for 10AM worship!
Not long ago Diane LaFontaine did a wonderful job of sharing the good news about St. Luke’s great community. I would like to share just one of the many volunteer opportunities hereat St. Luke’s.
I am talking about an opportunity to help be the face of St. Luke’s on Sunday mornings.
Be an Usher!! Our teams are made up of both men and women who enjoy the ability to
greet our members and visitors Sunday mornings. Teams support services four months a
year either at 8:30 or 10:00. For those of you that attend our services, you know Ushers
greet and hand out the bulletins, light candles and provide guidance for communion.
Currently we are in particular need for ushers at our 10:00 services. Please consider
this critical volunteer opportunity!
