Reformation

Sunday, October 26th

We last reported on liturgical colors with green for the long church season of ordinary time between Easter and Advent. We are now coming to the end of the Church year with the celebration of the Reformation, October 26th. Red will be the color in the paraments, pastor’s stole, flags out front, and even the Altar flower bouquets. Red symbolizes the fire of the Holy Spirit that empowered Martin Luther, and other reformers, to challenge the abuses within the church. We encourage everyone to wear red to worship on the 26th.
