The draft will also be available over the next few Sundays in the Sanctuary as well.

Lenten Congregational Dinners 

The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 22. During Lent, you are invited to join us for dinner each Wednesday evening. On February 22 and March 29, we will have a potluck dinner together at 6:00 pm with worship at 7:00 pm. On the other 4 Wednesday evenings you are invited to bring your own dinner and we will eat together in the fellowship hall at 6:00 pm with worship starting at 7:00 pm. Our theme for these Wednesday night services is The Lord’s Prayer: Praying with Faith.

There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the church office for the two potluck dinners.  

Lent Community Outreach Projects

This year during the season of Lent we will be supporting several organizations. 

• We will be collecting deodorant for the students at Iroquois High School.
• We will be collecting socks and washcloths for the Christian Appalachian Project’s Elderly Services Program.
• We will be collecting financial donations for the Letcher County Community Foundation. Their current focus is flood recovery relief efforts and rebuilding the Letcher County community.

There will be a box in the Sanctuary to collect items. If you are making a donation to the Letcher County Community Foundation please put “Letcher” on the memo line. Thank you for your generous support.  

Fellowship Time & Scout Sunday

There will be Fellowship Time on Sunday, February 12, following worship service. That Sunday is also Scout Sunday so the scouts and their families will be in service also. The Scouts are having their awards ceremony at 12:30 so we invite the congregation please stay and support them.

Faith Formation Meeting - February 26

There will be a Faith Formation Committee meeting on

February 26th after Church in the Choir Room.

The IKC is collecting Prayer Shawls for the 2023 General Synod to be used in the Community Care Suite. Please get those needles moving and donate today!
